Book a 4-day Kenya wildlife safari with midrange accommodations from Nairobi to Maasai Mara, featuring three rewarding game-drive days.
Explore the wildlife-rich plains of Maasai Mara on this 4-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari with Midrange Accommodations. The journey begins and ends in Nairobi and provides three nights near the reserve, giving you more wildlife-viewing time than a shorter two-night package. You will enjoy one afternoon game drive and two complete days exploring open savannah, acacia woodland, riverine forest, marshes and seasonal streams. Our guide will search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, leopards, antelopes and diverse birds while explaining wildlife behaviour and habitats. The selected midrange lodge or tented camp provides private rooms, restaurant meals and comfortable resting facilities after each safari day.
Your Kenya wildlife safari begins with an approximately 270-kilometre journey from Nairobi to Maasai Mara, taking around 5½ to 6½ hours. The route passes through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, highland farms, rural communities, livestock zones and open savannah. After arriving at your midrange accommodation, you will have lunch and begin an afternoon game drive lasting approximately 2½ to 3 hours and covering around 25 to 45 kilometres. Our guide will explore grassland, acacia savannah and seasonal drainage areas while introducing you to the Mara’s wildlife.
Following breakfast, you will depart with packed lunch for an 8 to 10-hour game drive covering approximately 80 to 120 kilometres. Our guide will explore open plains, riverine woodland, marshes, acacia habitat and seasonal streams while searching for predators, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and antelopes. The route will depend on wildlife movement, weather and road conditions. Lunch will be enjoyed at an approved picnic location before continuing the afternoon safari.
Your second full day will last approximately 8 to 10 hours and may cover around 70 to 110 kilometres through a different part of Maasai Mara. Our guide will use the additional day to search for wildlife missed earlier and revisit productive habitats when appropriate. You may explore rolling grasslands, wooded river sections, marshes and short-grass plains while learning about predator territories, migration routes and animal behaviour. A picnic lunch will be included before returning to your accommodation in the early evening.
After breakfast, you will begin the approximately 270-kilometre journey to Nairobi, taking around 5½ to 6½ hours. The route moves from open savannah and pastoral land through agricultural highlands, Rift Valley scenery and Nairobi’s suburbs. Our guide will include suitable comfort stops before dropping you at your hotel, airport or agreed destination.
