Experience a 4-Day Luxury Maasai Mara Big Cat and Wildlife Safari with private drives, premium lodges, lions, cheetahs, elephants and vast savannahs.
Experience the wildlife drama of Kenyaβs most famous reserve on this 4-Day Luxury Maasai Mara Big Cat and Wildlife Safari. The itinerary provides an afternoon game drive followed by two full days of exploration, creating excellent opportunities to search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest. You will travel privately with a professional driver-guide who will adjust routes according to recent sightings and natural wildlife movement. Selected luxury lodges or tented camps provide elegant accommodation, excellent dining and attentive service, making this safari suitable for travellers seeking intensive wildlife viewing without sacrificing premium comfort.
Our professional safari guide will collect you from Nairobi and drive approximately 260–280 kilometres to the Maasai Mara, a journey of five to six hours through Great Rift Valley viewpoints, agricultural highlands and Maasai countryside. After arriving at your selected luxury lodge or tented camp, you will check in, enjoy lunch and begin your first afternoon game drive. Attractions may include elephants crossing the plains, giraffes feeding near scattered woodland, zebras and wildebeest grazing together and lions resting in the cooler evening conditions. The drive provides an exciting introduction to the Mara before dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will leave with a picnic lunch for a seven-to-nine-hour game drive covering approximately 60–100 kilometres, depending on sightings and road conditions. The guide will focus on areas known for lions, cheetahs and leopards while also observing elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes and large grazing herds. You may watch lion prides interacting, cheetahs using open areas to scan for prey or leopards resting within riverine woodland. Lunch will be enjoyed at an authorised location before the afternoon wildlife search continues.
Your second full day will cover another flexible route of roughly 60–100 kilometres over seven to nine hours, allowing you to visit habitats not fully explored the previous day. Attractions may include Mara River wildlife, hippos, crocodiles, elephants near water, hyenas, jackals and large herds moving across the savannah. During migration periods, seasonal wildebeest and zebra concentrations may add further excitement, although exact movements cannot be guaranteed. A picnic lunch will be served inside the reserve before the game drive continues into the afternoon
After breakfast, you will check out and begin the approximately 260–280-kilometre journey to Nairobi, normally taking five to six hours. The road passes Maasai countryside, local trading centres, highland farmland and Great Rift Valley scenery. A suitable lunch, refreshment and comfort stop will be arranged before your driver-guide drops you at your Nairobi hotel, private residence or airport.e
