Our professional safari driver-guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or the airport before beginning the journey toward the Maasai Mara. You will travel through the Great Rift Valley and Kenya’s productive highlands, with suitable comfort and photography stops along the way. After arriving at your luxury lodge or tented camp, you will check in, enjoy lunch and prepare your camera equipment. The afternoon photography drive will focus on wildlife moving across the open plains, including elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras and antelopes. The warmer evening light may produce attractive wildlife portraits, landscapes and silhouettes before you return to the lodge for dinner.

Photography time: Approximately 7–9 hours
Main subjects: Lions, cheetahs, elephants, wildebeest and Mara landscapes

After breakfast, you will leave with a picnic lunch for a full day of wildlife photography. Our guide will search for productive areas while using tracks, animal calls and recent sighting information to plan the route. Because your vehicle is private, you can wait for better light, improved composition or interesting animal behaviour without following a shared group schedule. You may photograph lions resting in the grass, cheetahs scanning the plains, elephants travelling in family groups and large herds of herbivores. Lunch will be enjoyed at an authorised location before the afternoon photography session continues. You will return to the luxury lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will enjoy breakfast, check out and begin the journey from the Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru. The route passes through rural settlements, agricultural areas and scenic highland landscapes. Your final morning begins with a photography game drive inside Lake Nakuru National Park. The guide will search for white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, baboons and predators while also exploring productive birding areas. Depending on water levels and seasonal conditions, you may photograph flamingos, pelicans and other waterbirds around the lake. After the game drive, you will begin the journey to Nairobi, with lunch or refreshments arranged along the way. Drop-off will be provided at your hotel, residence or the airport.
