Celebrate together on a private 4-day luxury Samburu and Ol Pejeta honeymoon safari with elegant camps, game drives, rhinos and romantic extras.
Celebrate your honeymoon or anniversary on a private 4-day luxury safari through Samburu and Ol Pejeta. The journey combines premium tented accommodation, personal guiding, scenic road travel and well-paced morning and evening game drives. Samburu introduces you to palm-lined riverbanks, semi-arid scenery and unusual northern wildlife, while Ol Pejeta adds open Laikipia plains, rhino protection and Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Your private 4×4 Land Cruiser offers space, flexible stops and time to share each encounter without a group schedule. Depending on the selected lodge, a private dinner, sundowner, cake, room decoration or spa treatment can be arranged in advance, with any additional cost stated clearly. Wildlife sightings, romantic extras and Mount Kenya views depend on natural conditions and confirmed lodge arrangements and therefore are not automatically guaranteed.
Private Departure
Meet your dedicated driver-guide at JKIA or a Nairobi hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Settle into your private Land Cruiser for the 310–330 km drive through Thika, Karatina, Nanyuki and Isiolo. The journey normally takes 5½–6½ hours, excluding a comfortable refreshment stop. Green highlands gradually change into rugged semi-arid country, giving you a scenic introduction to northern Kenya. Arrive around 1:00 p.m. for check-in, lunch and time in your premium suite or tent.
First Evening Together
Depart at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a private three-hour game drive through Samburu's riverine and acacia habitats. Your guide will search patiently for elephants, giraffes, antelopes, birds and predators while allowing quiet time to enjoy the surroundings together. Return around sunset for refreshments and dinner. A private table, cake or room decoration can be prepared only when requested and reconfirmed before arrival.
Sunrise in Samburu
Tea or coffee is served before leaving at approximately 6:15 a.m. for a 2½–3-hour drive. Early light softens Samburu's hills, doum palms and riverbanks, creating a beautiful setting for couples' photographs. Look for reticulated giraffes, Grevy's zebras, gerenuks, elephants and colourful birds while your guide explains their behaviour. Sightings remain natural and cannot be guaranteed.
Leisure at the Lodge
Return around 9:15 a.m. for breakfast, followed by uninterrupted time on your veranda, beside the pool or at the spa where available. Lunch is normally served around 1:00 p.m. Any treatment, private meal or premium drink not included in the quotation will be paid separately.
Sunset Experience
Leave at about 3:30 p.m. for a second private drive along different tracks. A sundowner may be arranged in a designated safe area when reserve regulations, weather and lodge operations permit. Return around 6:30 p.m. for dinner and a relaxed evening beneath the Samburu sky.
Farewell to Samburu
Begin the final Samburu drive at approximately 6:15 a.m. The quiet morning provides another opportunity to observe the river corridor and northern wildlife before breakfast. Return at about 8:30 a.m., eat, then check out around 9:30 a.m. Your guide will secure the luggage and begin the journey south through Isiolo and Nanyuki.
Arrival at Ol Pejeta
The 130–160 km transfer takes around three to four hours, depending on the lodges and gates used. Arrive for a late lunch before settling into your premium camp. During an introductory afternoon drive, explore grassland and acacia habitats while searching for rhinos, elephants, buffaloes and plains wildlife. End the day with drinks at camp and a carefully prepared dinner. An optional night drive can be reserved at additional cost.
A Meaningful Final Morning
Enjoy breakfast from approximately 6:30 a.m., check out and depart on a final Ol Pejeta wildlife drive. Visit the protected northern white rhino area when accessible and learn how the conservancy supports threatened species. Continue to Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary during the public morning session. The conservation experience gives the honeymoon a thoughtful conclusion beyond luxury and wildlife viewing.
Homeward Journey
After lunch at approximately 12:30–1:00 p.m., begin the 210–230 km drive to Nairobi. The journey normally takes four to five hours, although city traffic can extend it. Arrival is expected between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. Drop-off is available at JKIA, a Nairobi hotel or a pre-agreed residence. An international flight should preferably leave after 9:00 p.m.; otherwise, a Nairobi overnight is advisable

The Booking Form
Celebrate together on a private 4-day luxury Samburu and Ol Pejeta honeymoon safari with elegant camps, game drives, rhinos and romantic extras.
N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. What makes this a luxury Samburu and Ol Pejeta honeymoon safari?
The journey uses a private safari vehicle, carefully selected premium accommodation, personalised guiding and an itinerary that leaves time for couples to relax. Luxury varies by lodge, so room category, view, drinks, private meals and included experiences will be clearly identified in the quotation rather than assumed.
2. Can you arrange a private dinner or room decoration
Yes, subject to lodge capability and advance confirmation. Share the occasion, preferred style, dietary needs and budget before payment. Some camps include a simple honeymoon arrangement, while others charge for flowers, cake, champagne, a bush dinner or elaborate decoration. Written confirmation prevents misunderstandings.
3. Is the honeymoon safari completely private?
The road transfers and game drives are private for the booked couple unless the quotation states otherwise. Lodge dining areas, lounges and the public chimpanzee sanctuary may be shared with other guests. Fully exclusive camp facilities or private conservancy activities can sometimes be arranged at extra cost.
4. Which room will we receive?
The confirmed quotation should name the property and exact room or tent category. Honeymoon suites, private plunge pools, river views and outdoor baths are not standard at every camp. Availability changes quickly, especially during peak seasons, so accommodation is secured only after deposit and written confirmation.
5. Can we add a professional couples' photo session?
Yes. A local photographer may be arranged in Nairobi or at a cooperating lodge, depending on location and availability. Photography fees, transport, image delivery and permissions must be agreed separately. Your driver-guide can also help take informal photographs using your own phone or camera during safe stops.
6. Is a sundowner included?
Only when it appears in the final inclusion list. Sundowners depend on reserve rules, weather, designated locations and lodge operations. The guide will not stop in an unsafe or unauthorised place purely for a romantic setup. Drinks and private service may attract an additional charge.
7. Can the honeymoon safari accommodate dietary requirements?
Most premium lodges can prepare vegetarian, vegan, gluten-aware or allergy-conscious meals when notified early. Serious allergies must be described accurately before booking because remote kitchens have limitations and cannot always guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. The operator will pass the information to every confirmed property.
8. Are wildlife sightings or Mount Kenya views guaranteed?
No. Wildlife moves freely, and cloud may hide Mount Kenya even during otherwise good weather. Your guide will use knowledge of habitats, tracks and recent activity to improve viewing opportunities, but the experience should be booked for the complete journey rather than one promised animal or photograph.
9. Can we extend the honeymoon to the Kenyan coast?
Yes. Diani, Lamu, Watamu or another beach destination can be added using road travel or a domestic flight. The most suitable connection depends on dates, luggage, budget and the final safari lodge. An extension should be planned early so flights and honeymoon rooms can be secured together.
10. What should we pack for a premium honeymoon safari?
Bring neutral casual clothing, a warm layer for early drives, comfortable closed shoes, sun protection, binoculars and a small soft-sided bag. Include one smart-casual outfit if desired, but formal clothing is unnecessary. Pack medicines and essential valuables in hand luggage, and avoid bringing expensive jewellery into the field.
