4 Days Midrange Christmas Safari Package in Kenya

Our Christmas safari begins with collection from Nairobi for the approximately 260–280 km drive to Maasai Mara. The 5–6-hour journey passes through highland farmland, the Great Rift Valley and rural grass country before reaching the reserve’s open savannah and acacia woodland. After check-in at your selected midrange festive-season accommodation, our guide will take you on a 2–3-hour afternoon game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs and antelopes.

You will spend approximately 7–9 hours exploring Maasai Mara’s plains, acacia woodland, riverine forest and wetland habitats. Depending on wildlife activity, the drive may cover around 80–120 km while our guide searches for big cats, elephants, buffaloes and large herbivore herds. A picnic lunch will be served inside the reserve. You will return to your midrange lodge for the available Christmas dinner or festive programme, which must be confirmed before booking.

After breakfast, you will travel approximately 230–250 km to Lake Naivasha in around 5–6 hours. The scenery changes from golden grassland and acacia bush to Rift Valley farmland, volcanic terrain and greener lakeside vegetation. You will check into a midrange lodge where the Christmas atmosphere, meals and entertainment will depend on the property’s confirmed programme.

Your morning begins with a 1-hour Lake Naivasha boat safari covering around 5–10 km along open water and papyrus beds. You may observe hippos, fish eagles, pelicans and kingfishers before continuing with a 1½–2-hour Crescent Island walk covering roughly 2–4 km through grassland and acacia woodland. Afterwards, you will travel approximately 90–100 km to Nairobi in about 2–2½ hours.
