Your family safari begins with pickup from Nairobi before travelling approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara. The journey normally takes around 5½ to 6½ hours and passes through the Great Rift Valley, highland farms, rural settlements, pastoral zones and open savannah. Our guide will schedule suitable washroom, refreshment and stretching stops. After lunch and check-in, your family will enjoy a 2½ to 3-hour afternoon game drive covering around 25 to 45 kilometres through open grassland, acacia woodland and seasonal streams. Children can begin identifying zebras, giraffes, antelopes, elephants and birds while our guide makes the experience enjoyable and educational.

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Family Safari Adventure

Full-Day Maasai Mara Family Safari Adventure

After breakfast, your family will leave with packed lunch for an 8 to 10-hour game drive covering approximately 80 to 120 kilometres. Our guide will explore grasslands, riverine forest, marshes, acacia savannah and seasonal water channels while helping children recognise wildlife, tracks and habitats. Breaks will be taken at approved locations, and the programme may be adjusted when younger travellers need rest. Lunch will be enjoyed inside the reserve before continuing the afternoon family adventure.

Day 3: Second Full-Day Educational Wildlife Safari

Second Full-Day Educational Wildlife Safari

The second full day gives your family another 8 to 10 hours to explore Maasai Mara, covering around 70 to 110 kilometres. Our guide will select different habitats and routes to increase the variety of wildlife encountered. You may travel through rolling plains, wooded river areas, marshland and short-grass zones while discussing predator-prey relationships, conservation and animal adaptation. A picnic lunch and suitable rest breaks will be included before returning to your accommodation.

Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Family Return Journey

After breakfast, your family will travel approximately 270 kilometres back to Nairobi, taking around 5½ to 6½ hours. The journey moves from open savannah and pastoral land through agricultural highlands and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Our guide will include comfort stops and assist with luggage before dropping your family at the agreed Nairobi location.
