Day 3 continues through Narok to Lake Nakuru for a premium overnight stay, while the final morning focuses on rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes and waterbirds. Family rooms, child seats and special meals are subject to advance confirmation.
Family Road Journey
At approximately 5:30 AM in Nairobi, our guide will collect your family and assist with luggage, seating and any confirmed child seat. You will travel through the Great Rift Valley toward Maasai Mara, with suitable comfort, breakfast and refreshment stops. The private vehicle allows reasonable flexibility for younger travellers.
First Family Safari
After arriving near Maasai Mara at around 12:00–1:00 PM, you will check into family-friendly premium accommodation and enjoy lunch. From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, the guide will search for lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras while sharing simple wildlife facts. Dinner and rest follow at the lodge.
Morning Wildlife Quest
At around 6:00 AM, your family will begin a full-day safari during cooler conditions. The guide will search for predators and grazing animals while helping children recognise tracks, horns, patterns and family groups. Observation stops will keep the experience engaging and manageable.
Family Picnic and Afternoon Drive
At approximately 12:30 PM, you will enjoy a picnic lunch and a proper rest at an authorised location. From around 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the safari continues through another wildlife area, with the duration adjusted reasonably when younger children become tired. You will return for dinner.
Breakfast and Family Transfer
At approximately 6:30–7:00 AM, your family will enjoy breakfast, organise belongings and complete lodge check-out. You will then travel through Narok toward Lake Nakuru, with a family-friendly meal and comfort stop along the route. The journey generally takes five and a half to seven hours.
Nakuru Family Lodge
You will arrive in the Lake Nakuru area during the afternoon and check into your premium accommodation. Children and adults will have time to rest, enjoy the lodge environment and prepare for the final morning safari. Dinner will be served at the property.
Morning Family Game Drive
At around 6:00 AM, your family will enter Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning safari. The guide will search for rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, lions and waterbirds while explaining conservation in simple language. Flamingos may be present depending on natural lake conditions.
Breakfast and Nairobi Journey
At approximately 9:15 AM, you will return for breakfast and prepare children’s snacks, luggage and personal belongings. From around 10:30 AM, you will travel approximately 160 kilometres to Nairobi, normally taking three to four hours. Final drop-off will be at the agreed destination.
