4 Days Premium Mara Ecology and Nakuru Conservation Study Tour

Student Assembly and Departure
At approximately 5:00 AM in Nairobi, students will meet at the confirmed school, university, hotel or assembly point. Teachers will complete attendance while our guide explains vehicle rules, the road journey and learning objectives. Luggage will be organised before departure through the Great Rift Valley.

Rift Valley Geography Session
During the morning journey toward Narok, our guide will introduce Rift Valley geography, changing vegetation, agriculture and settlement patterns. A supervised breakfast or comfort stop will be arranged at a suitable location. Students may record observations without distracting the driver or leaving the authorised group.

Afternoon Savannah Study
After arriving, completing room allocation and enjoying lunch, students will enter Maasai Mara from approximately 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The guide will introduce savannah habitats, animal groups, adaptation and basic food-chain relationships. Students must remain seated and follow all wildlife safety instructions.

Predator and Herbivore Observation
At around 6:00 AM, students will begin a full-day field drive focused on predator-prey relationships, feeding behaviour and animal group structure. The guide will use real sightings to explain ecological concepts while avoiding disturbance to wildlife. Teachers may supervise note-taking and species lists.

Picnic Review and Conservation Study
At approximately 12:30 PM, students will enjoy a packed lunch and review morning observations under teacher supervision. From around 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the guide will continue discussing migration, tourism, habitat use and conservation while exploring another reserve area. The group will return for dinner and a short academic review.

Breakfast and Group Check-Out
At approximately 6:30–7:00 AM, students will enjoy breakfast and organise luggage under teacher supervision. Room checks and attendance will be completed before departure. Wildlife may still be observed while leaving the Mara ecosystem, depending on the route.

Rift Valley Landscape Study
During the journey through Narok toward Lake Nakuru, students will compare changes in elevation, vegetation, farming and settlement. Lunch or refreshments will be served at a supervised stop. The drive normally takes five and a half to seven hours depending on road conditions.

Nakuru Group Arrival
Students will arrive in the Lake Nakuru area during the afternoon, receive room allocations and enjoy a supervised rest period. Teachers may organise a short discussion about the differences between Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru ecosystems. Dinner follows at the selected accommodation.

Morning Conservation Drive
At around 6:00 AM, students will enter Lake Nakuru National Park for a field session focused on rhino conservation, Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbirds and protected-area management. Our guide will explain habitat differences and conservation challenges while the group observes wildlife. All students must remain inside the vehicle unless instructed otherwise at an authorised location.

Breakfast and Learning Summary
At approximately 9:15 AM, the group will return for breakfast and complete a short summary discussion. Teachers may review assignments before luggage is loaded and attendance is checked. The final road journey to Nairobi will begin at around 10:30 AM.
