Our 4-Day Premium New Year Mara Sunrise & Naivasha Retreat offers a memorable way to finish one year or begin the next in Kenya’s famous wildlife landscapes. Starting from Nairobi, you will travel privately to Maasai Mara for an afternoon game drive and a full-day safari in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs and birds. On Day 3, you will continue through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha and enjoy a premium lakeside stay. Your final morning may include a boat safari, birdwatching activity or Crescent Island nature walk when confirmed. Guests travelling across December 31 and January 1 may enjoy a special dinner, decorations, music or countdown according to the selected lodge. Early booking is recommended because festive rooms, activities and private vehicles are limited.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara New Year Escape

Private Festive Departure

At approximately 5:30 AM in Nairobi, our driver-guide will collect you and begin the private journey through the Great Rift Valley.

Premium Mara Arrival

At around 12:00–1:00 PM, you will check into your premium lodge or luxury tented camp and enjoy lunch. Staff will confirm any official New Year programme.

Final Afternoon Safari of the Year

From approximately 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, our guide will search for lions, elephants, giraffes and other wildlife before returning for dinner.

First Wildlife Drive of the Year

At around 6:00 AM, you will begin a full-day safari during the cooler morning hours while searching for active predators and grazing animals.

New Year Picnic Lunch

At approximately 12:30 PM, you will enjoy a packed lunch and a short rest before continuing the safari.

Afternoon Wildlife Celebration

From around 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, the game drive will continue through another wildlife area before returning to the lodge.
