Travel distance: Approximately 260–280 kilometres
Estimated driving period: Around 5–6 hours
Solo-travel attractions: Private transfer, Rift Valley scenery, luxury camp arrival and individually tailored wildlife viewing
Your private driver-guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport before beginning the journey to the Maasai Mara. Travelling alone allows reasonable comfort and photography stops to be adjusted around your preferences. After reaching your selected luxury lodge or tented camp, you will check in, enjoy lunch and settle into your room. Your afternoon game drive will then be personalised around your interests. You may focus on lions, elephants, birds, scenic landscapes or wildlife photography. Our guide will share knowledge and provide support while respecting your personal space and independent travel style. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Flexible game-drive route: Approximately 60–100 kilometres
Private safari time: Around 7–9 hours with picnic and wildlife stops
Main attractions: Big cats, elephants, giraffes, grazing herds, Mara River and unrestricted vehicle-viewing space
After breakfast, you will depart with a picnic lunch for a private full-day game drive. Your guide will choose routes according to wildlife activity and your preferred safari interests. Because you are the only guest in the vehicle, you will have full access to the viewing windows and pop-up roof. You can remain longer with animals that interest you or move on when you are ready. Possible encounters include lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest and numerous birds. Lunch will be enjoyed at an authorised location before the afternoon exploration continues. You will later return to the lodge for dinner.
Transfer length: Approximately 230–250 kilometres
Expected road time: Around 4½–5½ hours
Solo attractions: Scenic countryside, personal stops, luxury lakeside accommodation and peaceful birdwatching
You will enjoy breakfast and check out before travelling privately to Lake Naivasha. Your guide can arrange suitable comfort and scenic stops without requiring you to follow another traveller’s schedule. On arrival, you will check in at your lakeside lodge and enjoy lunch or refreshments. The afternoon can be spent resting, walking in safe lodge areas or enjoying an optional sunset nature activity. The relaxed setting provides a comfortable change after the Maasai Mara game drives.
Local activity distance: Approximately 10–25 kilometres
Return transfer: Approximately 90–100 kilometres
Estimated duration: Around 2–3 hours of activity and 1½–2 hours to Nairobi
Final attractions: Hippos, fish eagles, waterbirds, personal photographs, giraffes and lake views
Your final morning activity can be selected according to your interests and confirmed package. You may take a boat safari, walk with a guide on Crescent Island or enjoy another approved nature excursion.
