4 Days Romantic Midrange Honeymoon Safari from Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Your honeymoon safari from Nairobi begins when our guide welcomes you at your hotel, airport or agreed location before travelling approximately 270 kilometres to Maasai Mara. The drive normally takes around 5½ to 6½ hours and passes through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, fertile highlands, rural towns, pastoral areas and open savannah. After arriving at your midrange lodge or tented camp, you will have lunch and settle into your room before beginning an afternoon game drive of approximately 2½ to 3 hours. You will cover around 25 to 45 kilometres through grasslands, acacia-dotted plains and seasonal streams while sharing your first Maasai Mara sunset and wildlife experience as a couple.

After breakfast, you and your partner will depart with packed lunch for a full-day safari lasting approximately 8 to 10 hours and covering around 80 to 120 kilometres. Our guide will explore open savannah, riverine woodland, marshland and acacia plains while searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and other wildlife. Your honeymoon safari will be unhurried, giving you time for private conversation, couple photographs and peaceful wildlife viewing. Lunch will be enjoyed at a designated picnic location before continuing the afternoon drive and returning to your accommodation.

Your second complete day in Maasai Mara allows our guide to explore a different section of the reserve for approximately 8 to 10 hours, covering around 70 to 110 kilometres. You may travel through rolling grasslands, wooded river areas, marshes, open plains and rocky habitats while searching for wildlife not encountered previously. Our journey will remain flexible so you can spend more time at favourite sightings, enjoy scenic stops and create special honeymoon memories. After a picnic lunch inside the reserve, you will continue with the afternoon game drive before returning for a relaxing final evening in the Mara.
