June is a spectacular "bridge" month where the landscape transitions from the lush green of the rains to the golden hues of the dry season. It is specifically famous for the Western Corridor migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather to cross the Grumeti River, providing some of the most dramatic wildlife action of the year.

June marks the start of the "cool and dry" season. Days are brilliantly clear and sunny with temperatures around 25°C, making for perfect photography light. You should pack "safari layers." A heavy fleece or light down jacket is essential for the 6:00 AM starts, but you will want light, breathable cotton or linen clothing for the midday heat. Neutral colors like khaki, olive, and tan are best to blend into the drying environment.
