Welcome the year on a 4-Day Samburu and Ol Pejeta Luxury New Year Safari with private drives, rare wildlife, rhinos and premium accommodation.
Welcome the New Year with wildlife, conservation and premium comfort on this 4-Day Samburu and Ol Pejeta Luxury New Year Safari Escape. The private journey takes you from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve for rare northern animals, elephants, predators and beautiful river scenery before continuing to Ol Pejeta Conservancy for rhinos, open plains and highland landscapes. Selected luxury properties may provide seasonal meals, celebration cakes, room decorations or other New Year hospitality according to their programmes. The package is suitable for couples, families, friends and independent travellers seeking an inspiring beginning to a new chapter.
Our professional guide will collect you from Nairobi and begin the approximately 310–325-kilometre journey to Samburu. The road transfer normally takes five and a half to six and a half hours and passes central highlands, agricultural communities, northern towns and increasingly dry wilderness. After arriving at your luxury lodge or tented camp, you will check in, enjoy lunch and prepare for an afternoon game drive. Attractions may include elephants, Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, lions and the Ewaso Ng’iro River before returning to the lodge for dinner and seasonal hospitality.
Your New Year wildlife experience includes morning and afternoon drives covering approximately 40–70 kilometres and around six hours in total. The morning session may reveal predators active in cooler conditions, elephants near water and rare northern species feeding across the scrubland. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, lunch and relaxation, you will begin another drive later in the day. Attractions may include Somali ostriches, giraffes, oryx, lions, colourful birds and a memorable sunset, creating an inspiring wildlife beginning to the year.
You will begin with a final Samburu drive of approximately 15–25 kilometres and around two hours before returning for breakfast and check-out. The approximately 140–170-kilometre journey to Ol Pejeta takes three to four hours and passes changing pastoral, agricultural and highland landscapes. After arrival, you will check in at your luxury accommodation, enjoy lunch or refreshments and relax while learning about rhino protection, conservation and the wildlife found across the conservancy.
After breakfast, you will check out and travel approximately 210–230 kilometres to Nairobi over four to five hours. Depending on lodge location and the authorised exit road, you may enjoy final views of rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, zebras or birds before leaving the conservancy. A suitable meal and comfort stop will be arranged as you pass through highland farms and towns. Drop-off will be provided at your Nairobi hotel, residence or airport.
