Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet your professional driver for a transfer to your hotel in Arusha. This day is reserved for resting after your flight and receiving a short briefing about the 4-day safari in February. Arusha is a green city located at the base of Mount Meru, offering a cool climate and views of coffee plantations. The travel distance is 50 kilometers and takes about 1 hour. You may experience a positive surprise by seeing a vibrant rainbow over Mount Meru if a light afternoon shower clears just as you arrive.

Day 1: Arusha to – Northern Serengeti
The journey begins early as you leave Arusha for the Northern Serengeti. You will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands, seeing Maasai bomas and lush green forests along the way. In February, the tracks are surrounded by tall grass and blooming wildflowers. Upon reaching the northern plains, you will immediately start viewing resident lions and leopards. The travel distance is about 330 kilometers and takes 8 hours. You might experience the strange but positive moment of seeing a rare serval cat hunting in the high green grass, which is a rare sight during the dry months.
