Our guide will meet you in Nairobi and assist with your luggage before beginning your solo traveller safari. You will travel north through Kenya’s highlands and dry countryside, with practical stops along the way. Upon arrival in Samburu, you will check into your midrange accommodation, enjoy lunch and prepare for an afternoon wildlife drive. You will have an opportunity to observe elephants, big cats, giraffes, zebras and antelopes while our guide explains the reserve’s ecosystem.

Your day starts with an early game drive through the quieter parts of Samburu. Travelling as a solo guest allows the itinerary to remain flexible, particularly when the safari is privately arranged. Our guide will help you search for wildlife and give you enough time to enjoy sightings, take photographs and ask questions. After a midday break, your solo traveller safari continues with an afternoon drive along the river and open plains.

Day 3: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Driving Time: Approximately 3½–4½ hours
Morning Game Drive: Approximately 2 hours
Places Visited: Samburu, Isiolo, Nanyuki and Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You will take a final morning drive in Samburu before continuing towards Ol Pejeta. During the journey, our guide will share information about the communities, farms and landscapes around northern and central Kenya. After reaching Ol Pejeta, you will check into your midrange accommodation and prepare for the next wildlife experience. Depending on arrival time, you may join a short evening game drive or relax at the property.

After breakfast, your solo traveller safari continues through Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Our guide will search for rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions and other wildlife across the conservancy. You may also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary area when it is accessible. After the game drive, you will return to Nairobi and be dropped off at your hotel, residence or agreed location.
