Day 1: Hiking Starting from Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

After a one-hour drive from Moshi to Marangu Gate (1,800m), complete the park formalities and start the trek. The 3-hour hike takes you through the rainforest to Mandara Hut, situated at an elevation of 2,720m. Spend the night at the hut.

Day 2: Leaving Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut Hiking Kilimanjaro

Continue your hike from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut. The trail first passes through rainforest, then opens up to moorland with stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. The hike takes about 4-5 hours. Rest and enjoy the scenery at Horombo Hut.

Day 3: Continue Hiking Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

todayâ€™s hike takes you between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. After 4-5 hours of hiking, you'll reach Kibo Hut, located at 4,704m. Take this day to rest and prepare for the final ascent to the summit.

Day 4: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut (Summit Day)

Start the challenging ascent to the summit, beginning around midnight. The trail passes through Hans Meyer Cave and Gilman's Point before reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895m. Take in the breathtaking views and capture memorable photos. Descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut for overnight stay.
