Celebrate on a 5-day premium honeymoon safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with private game drives, elegant stays and romantic moments.
Celebrate a honeymoon, anniversary or private couple’s escape on this five-day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru premium honeymoon safari. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi and continues with three nights in the Mara, giving you one afternoon drive and two complete days to enjoy wildlife, sunsets and time together without rushing. A private 4×4 vehicle provides personal space and flexible stops, while selected premium lodges or tented camps offer comfortable suites, attentive dining and romantic arrangements that can be requested in advance. The final night near or inside Lake Nakuru adds Rift Valley scenery, birdlife and rhino-conservation habitat. Private dinners, room decoration, sundowners and spa treatments depend on the chosen property, weather and availability and must be confirmed in the quotation. Free-ranging wildlife, migration herds and river crossings remain natural and cannot be guaranteed.
Scenic Beginning Together
Meet your private driver-guide at JKIA, Wilson Airport or a Nairobi hotel between approximately 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Settle into the 4×4 vehicle for the 250–280 km journey through the Great Rift Valley and Narok. Driving normally takes 5–6½ hours, excluding a viewpoint stop, refreshments and comfort breaks. Arrive between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. for check-in, lunch and time to enjoy your premium suite or tent.
First Mara Sunset
At about 3:30 p.m., begin a private 2½–3-hour game drive across the Mara’s grassland, acacia and riverine habitats. Your guide will search patiently for wildlife while allowing quiet moments and couple photographs in safe, permitted locations. Return around sunset for drinks and dinner. Pre-arranged room decoration, a private table or another honeymoon touch will be provided only when confirmed by the selected lodge before arrival.
Early Safari Light
Depart at approximately 6:15 a.m. with breakfast boxes, or eat early at camp according to your preference. Cooler conditions and gentle light create an atmospheric start as your guide explores areas selected from recent wildlife movement. You may encounter elephants, giraffes, antelopes, predators or abundant birds, but every sighting develops naturally and is never guaranteed.
A Picnic in the Mara
The full-day game drive lasts about 8–10 hours, allowing the couple to experience different sections of the reserve without continually returning to camp. A picnic lunch is served at an authorised site around 12:30–1:00 p.m. During the seasonal migration period, the guide may visit the Mara River if conditions and your camp location make it sensible; a crossing cannot be scheduled.
Evening for Two
Continue through the softer afternoon light and return at approximately 6:00–6:30 p.m. Freshen up before dinner and a quiet evening at the premium camp. An optional private dinner or sundowner requires advance confirmation and may carry an additional cost.
Choose Your Rhythm
Begin around 6:15 a.m. for another full-day safari, or request separate morning and afternoon drives if your lodge location and entry arrangements allow. The guide can adapt the pace for photography, animal behaviour or relaxed observation. This extra Mara day reduces pressure and gives you a second opportunity to explore habitats missed previously, while maintaining responsible distances from wildlife.
Unhurried Time in Nature
For the full-day option, breakfast and lunch are enjoyed in the field at approved places, with lunch planned around 12:30 p.m. For split drives, return to camp for a late breakfast, lunch and private leisure time before leaving again at about 3:30 p.m. Spa services, a pool or other facilities vary by property and are not assumed.
Your Last Mara Evening
Return by approximately 6:30 p.m. and enjoy your final dinner in the Mara. Where confirmed, the lodge may arrange a honeymoon cake, special table or room turndown to mark the occasion.
Journey to the Lake
Enjoy breakfast from approximately 6:30 a.m., complete check-out around 7:30 a.m. and begin the 235–270 km drive to Lake Nakuru. The transfer generally takes 5–6½ hours depending on the Mara gate, road conditions and selected property. Travel via Narok and the Rift Valley with comfort and meal stops, arriving in the Nakuru area in the mid-to-late afternoon.
A Quiet Afternoon Together
Couples staying inside Lake Nakuru National Park can take a 2–2½-hour afternoon game drive from about 3:30 p.m., exploring woodland, viewpoints and accessible shoreline habitat before sunset. When the confirmed premium hotel or camp is outside the park, check in for a relaxed afternoon instead and save the park entry for Day 5. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful final safari night. Spa appointments or private dining must be reserved in advance and depend on the property.
Final Safari Memories
Breakfast is served at approximately 6:00 a.m. before check-out and a 6:30–7:00 a.m. game drive. Spend 3–4 hours exploring Lake Nakuru National Park’s woodland, grassland and changing lakeshore. Your guide may look for black or white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, pelicans, flamingos and other birds, although no individual species or close sighting can be promised. Stop at a safe viewpoint for final couple photographs when conditions permit.
Nairobi or Airport Farewell
Exit around 10:30–11:00 a.m. and enjoy lunch in the Nakuru or Naivasha area at approximately noon. Drive 165–180 km to Nairobi, normally taking 3–4 hours before heavy traffic. Expected arrival is between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Drop-off is available at JKIA, Wilson Airport or a pre-agreed Nairobi hotel or residence. Plan international departure after 8:00 p.m.; a Nairobi night is more comfortable for an earlier flight.

The Booking Form
Celebrate on a 5-day premium honeymoon safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with private game drives, elegant stays and romantic moments.
N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. What makes this a premium honeymoon safari?
The package uses a private vehicle, carefully selected high-end accommodation and a less rushed itinerary with three nights in the Maasai Mara. Premium rooms, meals and service create comfort, while privacy allows the couple to decide how long to observe a sighting. The exact suite category, drinks and lodge amenities must appear in the final quotation because properties differ.
2. Are romantic room decorations guaranteed?
Only arrangements confirmed in writing are guaranteed. Many lodges can offer a honeymoon setup, cake, flower arrangement or decorated dinner table, but inclusions, designs and charges differ. Share the celebration date, dietary needs and preferred style early. Fresh flowers or outdoor arrangements may be affected by local availability, weather and conservation rules.
3. Can we arrange a private bush dinner or sundowner?
Often yes, subject to lodge location, weather, staffing and protected-area rules. Some properties include a simple sundowner, while private bush dining can carry an additional fee. The operator should confirm the exact venue, menu, alcohol policy and cancellation terms. Wildlife safety always determines whether an outdoor location can be used.
4. Will we always have the safari vehicle to ourselves?
Yes, this package is designed as a private couple’s safari unless the final quotation clearly states otherwise. A private vehicle provides personal space, flexible comfort stops and a quieter atmosphere. Lodge transfers or optional activities may sometimes use shared vehicles, so those exceptions should be identified before booking.
5. Can we choose between full-day and split game drives?
The two full Mara days are normally planned as full-day drives, but a split-drive arrangement may be possible depending on the camp’s location, gate, entry conditions and the couple’s priorities. Full days reach a wider area; split drives provide more lodge time. Confirm the preferred rhythm with the operator before arrival.
6. Is this package suitable for an anniversary or proposal?
Yes. The same private structure works well for anniversaries, birthdays and proposals. For a proposal, tell the operator privately and well in advance so a safe location, timing and discreet coordination can be considered. Weather, wildlife and park rules prevent guaranteeing an exact open-plains setting, so a lodge-based backup plan is wise.
7. Are spa treatments included?
Spa treatments are not assumed. Availability depends on the selected premium lodge, and advance reservations are recommended, particularly in migration or holiday periods. Ask for the treatment menu, duration and price before booking. The itinerary can be adjusted to create spa time only when doing so does not conflict with transfers or agreed game drives.
8. What should honeymooners pack?
Bring neutral safari clothing, a warm layer for early drives, comfortable shoes, sun protection, insect repellent, personal medication and smart-casual clothing for dinner if desired. Pack important items in carry-on luggage. A camera, binoculars and a small surprise gift can add to the experience, but avoid carrying valuable jewellery unnecessarily in the field.
9. Is the Great Migration included in every departure?
No. The safari visits the Maasai Mara throughout the year, while large migration herds generally use the Kenyan part of the wider ecosystem seasonally and according to rainfall. Even during the expected period, river crossings are unpredictable. Resident wildlife and the Mara landscape remain central experiences outside migration months.
10. Can we fly back from the Mara instead of driving to Nakuru?
Not without redesigning the itinerary, because Lake Nakuru lies on the road-based route and is the final safari destination. A charter or scheduled flight may be possible in a customised programme, but flight schedules, luggage limits and additional transfers change the price and sequence. Request this alternative before accommodation is reserved.
