Enjoy a 5-Day Private Luxury Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru Solo Safari with dedicated guiding, flexible drives, premium lodging, big cats and rhinos.
Experience Kenya independently with complete professional support on this 5-Day Private Luxury Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru Solo Safari. The package includes a dedicated driver-guide, private safari vehicle and single-occupancy luxury accommodation, allowing you to travel without following a shared group timetable. Two full days in the Maasai Mara can be personalised around big cats, elephants, photography, birdlife or general wildlife viewing. Lake Nakuru then introduces rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes and lakeshore birds. Our team will manage road transfers, accommodation and wildlife activities, leaving you free to enjoy the independence, flexibility and comfort of a privately arranged safari.
Your dedicated driver-guide will collect you from Nairobi and begin the approximately 260–280-kilometre journey to the Maasai Mara. The road transfer usually takes five to six hours, and travelling alone allows suitable comfort, photography and refreshment stops to be arranged around your preferences. Attractions along the route include Great Rift Valley scenery, highland farms and Maasai countryside. After checking in at your luxury lodge or tented camp and enjoying lunch, you will begin a personalised afternoon game drive focused on your interests, whether they include lions, elephants, birds, landscapes or wildlife photography.
After breakfast, you will depart with a picnic lunch and explore approximately 60–100 kilometres over seven to nine hours. Because the vehicle is reserved exclusively for you, you will have full access to the viewing windows and pop-up roof. You may remain longer with favourite animals, request additional photography time or change direction when another part of the reserve becomes more productive. Attractions may include lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras and numerous birds.
Your third day provides another seven-to-nine-hour private safari covering approximately 60–100 kilometres, with the route selected according to your interests and recent wildlife activity. The guide may revisit a productive predator area, search for a species not previously seen or explore river habitats for hippos, crocodiles and birdlife. The private arrangement also allows the guide to assist with photographs of you at safe locations. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the reserve before the afternoon safari continues.
After breakfast, you will check out and travel approximately 230–250 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over four and a half to six hours. The private transfer allows comfort, scenery and photography stops to be adjusted around your preferences. If your confirmed lodge is inside the national park and the arrival and entry arrangements permit, you will take an afternoon game drive for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes and birds. Otherwise, you will check in, relax and prepare for the morning drive.
Your final morning includes a private three-to-four-hour game drive covering approximately 25–50 kilometres. You may observe white or black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, zebras and waterbirds while enjoying unrestricted vehicle-viewing space. After the drive, you will travel approximately 155–165 kilometres to Nairobi over two and a half to three and a half hours. Your guide will arrange a suitable meal or comfort stop before private drop-off.
