Enjoy a 5-Day Relaxed Luxury Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru Senior Safari with private transport, flexible game drives and premium accommodation.
Explore Kenya’s iconic wildlife at a comfortable pace on this 5-Day Relaxed Luxury Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru Senior Safari. Designed for mature travellers, retired couples and guests who prefer flexible activities, the private package includes suitable comfort stops, adjustable game drives and carefully selected luxury accommodation. The Maasai Mara offers lions, elephants, giraffes and open savannah landscapes, while Lake Nakuru adds rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes and scenic birdlife. Activity times can be divided or shortened according to mobility and energy levels, while room location, dietary needs and vehicle-access requirements can be discussed before booking.
Our driver-guide will collect you from Nairobi, assist with luggage and begin the approximately 260–280-kilometre transfer to the Maasai Mara. The journey normally takes five to six hours, but the private vehicle allows suitable washroom, stretching and refreshment stops. Attractions along the route include Great Rift Valley scenery, highland farms and Maasai countryside. After arrival, lodge staff will assist with check-in before lunch and sufficient rest. A gentle afternoon drive may reveal elephants, giraffes, zebras and possible predators without unnecessary rushing.
The second day can be arranged as one longer drive or separate morning and afternoon activities covering a combined distance of approximately 40–80 kilometres. The total wildlife-viewing time may range from five to eight hours according to guest comfort. Attractions may include lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and birds, while the private vehicle allows additional pauses, seating adjustments or an early return to the lodge. Lunch may be enjoyed at the lodge or inside the reserve according to the confirmed programme.
Your third day includes another flexible wildlife experience covering approximately 40–80 kilometres. The guide may explore accessible grasslands, woodland or river habitats where elephants, hippos, giraffes and predators can be seen. Guests may choose a picnic lunch or return to the lodge for a midday break. The schedule will remain unhurried, allowing enough time to observe wildlife comfortably without creating an exhausting day.
After breakfast and assisted check-out, you will travel approximately 230–250 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over four and a half to six hours. Suitable comfort, refreshment and stretching stops will be arranged. If your confirmed accommodation is inside the park and the arrival and entry arrangements permit, you may take a short afternoon game drive for rhinos, giraffes and birds. Otherwise, lodge staff will assist with check-in and you will spend the afternoon resting.
The final morning includes a relaxed game drive covering approximately 20–40 kilometres over two and a half to three and a half hours. Attractions may include rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, baboons and waterbirds. After the drive, you will travel approximately 155–165 kilometres to Nairobi over two and a half to three and a half hours, with a meal and comfort stop arranged before final drop-off.
