Arrival Day: Arrival (Kilimanjaro Airport) to Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a driver will meet you and provide a transfer to your hotel in Arusha. This day is dedicated to resting and preparing for the adventure ahead. You will meet your guide for a short briefing about the safari schedule and the equipment you might need. Arusha is a vibrant city located at the base of Mount Meru, offering a cool climate for your first night in Tanzania.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
The journey starts with a drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes about 2 to 3 hours. This park is famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. You will spend the day on a full day game drive exploring the Tarangire River area where animals gather to drink. You might see lions resting under trees or large pythons hiding in the swampy areas. The landscape is dotted with giant trees that make for great photos. Late in the evening, you will head to your accommodation for dinner.

Day 2: Tarangire to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, you will drive toward the Central Serengeti, passing through the beautiful highlands of Karatu. The drive takes around 5 to 6 hours but includes scenic views along the way. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a half day game drive in the Seronera Valley. This area is known as the predator capital of the world because of the high density of leopards, lions, and cheetahs. You might witness a leopard hauling its prey up an acacia tree, which is a common but thrilling sight in this region.

Day 3: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti
Today you travel north to reach the heart of the Great Migration. The drive takes about 4 to 5 hours depending on animal sightings along the path. As you move toward the Mara River area, the landscape changes to open woodlands and rolling hills. This 5-day balloon safari in Serengeti Migration focuses on tracking the large columns of wildebeest and zebras. You will spend the afternoon observing the herds as they gather near water sources, preparing for the river crossings.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti
The day begins very early with a 5-day Serengeti Migration balloon safari experience. You will be picked up before dawn and taken to the launch site. As the sun rises, you float over the Serengeti plains, watching the migration from above. After landing, you enjoy a bush breakfast with champagne. The rest of the day involves a game drive as you head back toward the Central Serengeti. This is a great chance to see any animals you might have missed earlier, such as the elusive black rhino or spotted hyenas.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
You will leave early for the Ngorongoro Crater, a drive of about 3 hours. You will descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a half day tour. This collapsed volcano is home to over 30,000 animals, including the endangered black rhino. You will have lunch near the hippo pool before starting the drive back to Arusha. The climb out of the crater offers a final spectacular view of the entire caldera. You will arrive in Arusha in the late evening for your departure or overnight stay.
