RELATED FAQS ABOUT 5 Days Serengeti Migration Elders-Friendly Safari

Is the 5-day Elders-Friendly safari suitable for people with limited mobility?

Yes, this package uses lodges with accessible rooms and 4x4 vehicles with comfortable seating and easy entry. We adjust the pace of the game drives to ensure you do not feel rushed or tired during the day.

How long are the drives on a 5-day Elders-Friendly safari in Serengeti Migration?

The drives between parks range from 2 to 6 hours, but we include many stops for restrooms and stretching. Our drivers are trained to drive slowly on bumpy roads to provide the smoothest ride possible for senior travelers.

What kind of medical support is available during the safari?

All our vehicles are equipped with first aid kits and have access to radio communication. We also recommend that travelers have flying doctors insurance, which allows for emergency evacuation to a hospital if needed.

Can special dietary needs be handled on this 5-day Elders-Friendly safari?

Most lodges and camps in Tanzania are very good at accommodating dietary requirements like low sodium, gluten free, or vegetarian meals. Please inform us in advance so we can coordinate with the chefs at each location.

Are the safari vehicles equipped with air conditioning?

While many safari vehicles use natural ventilation through the windows and pop-up roofs, some of our premium vehicles have air conditioning. However, the air in the parks is usually very fresh and comfortable during the game drives.

Will we have a private vehicle for our 5-day Serengeti Migration Elders-Friendly safari?

We recommend booking a private tour for senior travelers to ensure maximum flexibility and comfort. This allows you to decide when to start your day and when to return to the lodge for a rest.

What is the best time of year for a senior traveler to visit the Serengeti?

The dry season from July to October is ideal because the roads are easier to navigate and animals gather around water sources. The weather is also clear and not too hot, making it perfect for wildlife viewing.

Are there many walking opportunities on this safari?

This tour focuses on vehicle based game viewing to minimize physical strain. However, we can include short, flat walks around the lodges or at designated picnic sites if you feel like stretching your legs.

Is there a lot of dust during the game drives?

The Serengeti can be dusty during the dry season, but we provide masks and keep the vehicle windows closed when driving on particularly dry tracks. Staying hydrated also helps manage the effects of the dust.

What should I pack for a 5-day Elders-Friendly safari in Serengeti Migration?

You should bring comfortable, light layers of clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and sturdy shoes with good grip. Do not forget your medications, sunblock, and a pair of binoculars for better wildlife viewing.
