Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a driver will meet you and provide a private transfer to your lodge in Arusha. The journey takes about one hour and passes through coffee plantations and local markets. This day is for resting and preparing for your 5-day Lodge safari. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire (Full Day Tour)

The safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes about 2 to 3 hours over 120 kilometers. Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees and massive elephant herds. You will spend the full day on a game drive along the Tarangire River where animals gather to drink. A positive unexpected moment might be seeing a large elephant family nursing a tiny calf just a few meters from your vehicle.
