Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver will meet you and provide a transfer to your hotel in Arusha. The drive takes about one hour through local communities and coffee farms. This day is dedicated to resting and preparing your camera gear. You will have a short briefing with your guide to discuss lighting conditions and the best times for wildlife photography. Arusha offers a calm atmosphere to check your lenses and settings before your 5-day photograph safari in Serengeti Migration begins the next morning.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire (Full Day Tour)
The journey starts with a drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes about 2 to 3 hours over 120 kilometers. Tarangire is a dream for photographers because of its giant baobab trees and massive elephant herds. You will spend the full day on a game drive, focusing on the Tarangire River where wildlife gathers. A positive moment you might experience is capturing the texture of an old elephant’s skin as it throws red dust over its back. Today you travel north to reach the heart of the Great Migration. The drive covers 140 kilometers and takes 5 hours through open grasslands and rolling hills. This 5-day Serengeti Migration photograph safari prioritizes reaching the Mara River area where the herds congregate. You will spend the afternoon watching thousands of wildebeests and zebras. A powerful moment for any photographer is capturing the dust clouds raised by the massive herds as they move across the plains. You will stay at a camp near the migration to ensure you are ready for the early morning light.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater (half day tour) to Arusha
You will leave early for the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a 3 hour drive. You will descend into the caldera for a half day tour of this unique ecosystem. This is the best place to find the rare black rhino for your portfolio. A highlight of the day is the incredible lighting inside the crater, with the steep walls providing a dramatic backdrop for wildlife shots. After lunch near the hippo pool, you will drive 190 kilometers back to Arusha. You will arrive in the late evening, concluding your 5-day photograph safari with a final view from the crater rim.
