A professional driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport for a transfer to your hotel in Arusha city. The drive takes about one hour and provides views of the surrounding coffee plantations. This evening is for resting and preparing for your 5-day Off-Road safari. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire (Full Day Tour)

The journey starts with a drive to Tarangire National Park, covering 120 kilometers in about 2 to 3 hours. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. You will spend the full day exploring the rugged tracks along the Tarangire River. A positive unexpected moment might be watching a large elephant bull scratching its back on a giant baobab tree right next to your vehicle. You will leave early for the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a 3 hour drive from the central area. You will descend into the caldera for a half day tour of this unique ecosystem. This is the best place to find the rare black rhino and complete your Big Five list. A highlight of the day is seeing a black rhino crossing the road directly in front of your vehicle. After lunch near the hippo pool, you will drive 190 kilometers back to Arusha. You will arrive in the late evening for your flight or hotel stay.
