N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. How do we cross from Kenya to Tanzania on a luxury safari?
The most seamless way is a flight from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) to Kilimanjaro (JRO) or directly to the Sereneti airstrips. Alternatively, you can cross by land via the Isebania or Namanga borders.
2. Do we need a separate visa for Tanzania if we have a Kenyan visa?
Yes. Most nationalities require a separate visa for Tanzania. You can apply for a Tanzania E-Visa online in advance to avoid delays at the border.
3. Can we fly directly from Maasai Mara to the Serengeti?
While the parks are adjacent, there is no direct international flight between them. You must fly to a border point (like Tarime/Migori), cross by car, and then take another flight on the Tanzanian side.
4. Will we have the same guide for both countries?
In a luxury setup, you typically switch guides. A Kenyan specialist handles your Nairobi/Mara leg, and a Tanzanian senior guide meets you at the border with a fresh luxury 4x4.
5. Is the currency the same?
No. Kenya uses Kenyan Shillings (KES) and Tanzania uses Tanzanian Shillings (TZS). However, US Dollars (printed after 2006) are widely accepted for tips and luxury services in both
6. What is the best entry point for the Northern Circuit from Kenya?
Namanga is best for Arusha and Tarangire, while Isebania is the gateway for the Western and Northern Serengeti.
7. Are there health requirements for crossing the border?
A Yellow Fever Certificate is often mandatory when entering Tanzania from Kenya. Ensure your vaccination card is up to date.
8. Is the wildlife different in Tanzania compared to Kenya?
The ecosystem is shared, but Tanzania’s parks are much larger, offering more exclusive, "off-the-beaten-path" luxury experiences and a higher density of lions in the Crater.
9. Can we use the East African Tourist Visa?
The East African Tourist Visa covers Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, but Tanzania is not part of this agreement. You must purchase a separate Tanzanian visa.
10. How long is the flight from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro?
It is a short and scenic 50-minute flight, often providing spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on clear days.
