RELATED FAQS ABOUT 5 Days Tanzania Luxury Safari From Zanzibar: Coastal to Northern Adventure

    1. How do we get from Zanzibar to the Safari parks?

The most luxurious way is a Direct Bush Flight (approx. 1 hour 45 minutes) from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) directly to the Serengeti or Ngorongoro (Manyara) airstrips.

    2. What time do flights depart from Zanzibar

Luxury bush flights typically depart early in the morning (between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM) to ensure you are on your first game drive by midday.

    3. Do we need our passports for the flight from Zanzibar?

Yes. Even though it is a domestic flight, Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous region, and passports are required for identification and security checks at the airport.

    4. Can we do a day trip to the Serengeti from Zanzibar?

While some offer it, we highly discourage it. A 5-day luxury stay allows you to actually experience the wilderness rather than spending 6 hours in a plane in one day.

    5. What happens to our "Beach Luggage" during the safari?

If you are returning to Zanzibar, most luxury hotels will store your large suitcases for free. You only need to take a small soft-sided bag (max 15kg) for the safari leg.

    6. Is it possible to fly into the Serengeti and out to Dar Es Salaam?

Yes. Our luxury logistics are flexible; we can arrange for you to fly from Zanzibar to the bush and then conclude your trip by flying to Dar or Kilimanjaro.

    7. Which is the closest park to Zanzibar for a luxury safari

Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous) is the closest (45-minute flight), but for the "Big Five" experience, we recommend flying to the Northern Circuit (Serengeti/Ngorongoro).

    8. Are the planes from Zanzibar private or shared?

Our standard luxury packages use executive scheduled bush flights, but private charters are available for those seeking total exclusivity.

    9. Is there a "VIP Lounge" at Zanzibar Airport?

Yes, for our luxury guests, we provide access to the Paradise Arrival/Departure Lounge at ZNZ to ensure a comfortable wait before your flight.

    10. Do we need a different visa if we came from Zanzibar?

No. Your Tanzanian visa covers both the mainland and the islands of Zanzibar.
