N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. What makes March a unique time for a luxury safari?
March is a "Secret Season." You witness the tail-end of the Calving Season in the Southern Serengeti. The weather is warm, the grass is vibrant green, and the predatory action is at its peak
2. Where is the Great Migration located in March?
The herds are starting to move from the Ndutu Plains toward the Central Serengeti (Seronera). You get to see the transition of the massive herds as they begin their journey north.
3. Is it very rainy in March?
The "Long Rains" typically begin in late March. Most days feature sunny mornings with dramatic, short-lived afternoon thunderstorms that clear the air and make for incredible photography.
4. How do we handle the muddy terrain in the South?
Our luxury fleet is fitted with Heavy-Duty Winches and mud-terrain suspension. We also use light-weight private aircraft to hop between camps, avoiding long drives on wet roads.
5. Is the Ngorongoro Crater good in March?
It is magnificent. The crater floor is a lush carpet of wildflowers. Because it is a "Shoulder Season," you can enjoy the Black Rhino sightings with far fewer vehicles around you.
6. Are there many mosquitoes during this time?
The humidity does increase insect activity. However, our selected luxury lodges utilize Eco-Friendly Fogging and provide high-end organic repellents and screened-in "Zanzibar-style" suites.
7. Can we see the "Big Five" in 5 days?
Yes. March is excellent for leopards and lions, as they are very active hunting the growing calves. Combined with the Crater, a "Big Five" sweep is highly likely.
8. What are the photography benefits of March?
March offers the best "Clean Air" of the year. The lack of dust and the dramatic storm clouds provide a professional-grade backdrop that you cannot get in the dry season.
9. Is a Hot Air Balloon safari possible in March?
Yes. While flights are subject to weather, flying over the Southern Plains in March gives you a unique view of the massive herds spread across the green carpet.
10. Do we get better value for luxury in March?
Absolutely. Many "Ultra-Luxe" properties transition to Shoulder Season Rates in March, allowing you to experience $3,000-a-night suites at a much more accessible price point
