The Booking Form
5-Day Tanzania Luxury Safari In September – Explore Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater during dry season with open plains game drives, luxury accommodations, and abundant wildlife.
N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. Why is September considered the "High-Drama" month for a safari?
September is when the Mara River crossings are most consistent. The wildebeest are in a constant state of flux, crossing back and forth between the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara, providing cinematic wildlife action.
2. Where exactly should we be based in September?
We prioritize the Lamai Wedge and the Northern Serengeti. Staying in these remote pockets allows you to be "first on the scene" for river crossings before vehicles arrive from other sectors
3. What is the temperature like in September?
The weather is perfect. Expect daytime temperatures of around 27?C and cool, crisp nights of 11?C. It is the most climatically comfortable month for all-day game viewing.
4. Is it very dusty in September?
Yes, it is the peak of the dry season. However, our luxury 4x4s are fitted with internal air-filtration and we provide chilled, scented towels to ensure you remain refreshed throughout the day.
5. Can we see the "Big Five" easily in September?
September is world-class for leopards and lions. Because the grass is at its shortest and driest, predators are highly visible as they wait near the riverbanks for the migration
6. Is a Balloon Safari a "Must" in September?
Highly recommended. In September, the aerial view of the river crossings is unparalleled. You can see the sheer scale of the herds stretching for miles into the horizon.
7. Is there any water left in the Ngorongoro Crater?
Only in the permanent springs. This is a major advantage for you, as the Black Rhino and elephant bulls are forced to visit these specific water sources daily, making sightings very reliable.
8. Should we fly directly to the Northern Serengeti?
Absolutely. For a 5-day luxury trip, we arrange a Private Executive Charter to the Kogatende or Lamai airstrip. This saves 10 hours of driving and puts you in the wild by lunchtime
9. What should we wear for September evenings?
The evenings are cold but the lodge atmosphere is warm. We recommend cashmere layers and a light windbreaker. Most luxury lodges provide "bush-fire" setups and heated turn-down beds.
10. How far in advance should we book for September?
September is the most requested month in the luxury calendar. To secure the most exclusive "River-View" suites, we advise booking 12 to 15 months in advance.
