    In the morning, we'll pick you up from your Moshi hotel for the Kilimanjaro trek. A 45-minute drive leads through Marangu Village to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. While waiting for permits, witness crews preparing for the journey. Enjoy the beautiful rainforest scenery and your guide's insights into local flora, fauna, and wildlife. The trail can be muddy and slippery at lower elevations, so gaiters and trekking poles are highly recommended. Trek distance: 7km / 4-5 hours. Terrain: Rainforest. Elevation: 1830m/6000ft to 2740m/9000ft. Accommodation at Mandara Hut includes all meals and drinking water.

    Day 2: Mandara Huts - Horombo Huts

    Mandara Huts - Horombo Huts

    After a restful night and a hearty breakfast, we leave the rainforest behind and ascend through heathland, seeking giant lobelias and groundsels. The trail leads to open moorlands, where small shrubs dominate. Halfway, we stop for lunch with stunning views of Mawenzi. By late afternoon, we reach Horombo Huts, below the impressive Kibo Summit viewpoint, as temperatures begin to drop. Main Destination: Mount Kilimanjaro Accommodation: Horombo Hut, a budget mountain hut near Mt. Kilimanjaro Meals & Drinks: All meals provided, drinking water included (Other drinks not included).

    Day 3: Horombo Huts - Kibo Huts

    After breakfast, we continue through dwindling heathland, transitioning into a moonscape as we enter the sweeping saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. During lunch and later as we cross this vast saddle, you'll get a glimpse of the summit climb up Kibo, which begins in a few hours. Trek distance: 10km/6mi. Duration: 6-8 hours. Terrain: Semi-Desert. Elevation: 3690m/12,100ft to 4695m/15,400ft. Accommodation: Kibo Hut, a budget mountain hut near Mt. Kilimanjaro. All meals provided, drinking water included (Other drinks not included)

    As morning arrives, excitement builds for the most challenging part of the trek, starting between midnight and 2 a.m. We ascend in a switchback formation, focused on the sense of accomplishment ahead. Climbing through heavy scree and snow towards Gillman's Point on the crater rim, faster hikers may witness the sunrise from the summit. Congratulations, you've reached Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro and Africa! After celebrations and photos, we begin the steep descent to Horombo Huts, stopping at Kibo for lunch and a brief rest.     Day 5: Horombo Huts - Marangu Gates

    Moshi After breakfast, cherish a heartfelt ceremony with your crew before bidding farewell. Descend, stopping at Mandara Huts for lunch. Remember to tip your guides, cooks, and porters. Reach Marangu Park Gate, receive summit certificates. The weather is warmer, but terrain remains wet, muddy, and steep, so gaiters and trekking poles are essential. A vehicle awaits at the gate, taking you back to your Moshi hotel (about 45 minutes). Enjoy a long-awaited hot shower, dinner, and celebrations!
