This 6-Day Full Moon Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Climbing Adventure is designed for climbers who want to experience Mount Kilimanjaro in a magical way, especially during the summit night when the full moon lights the trail toward Uhuru Peak. The Lemosho Route begins from the quiet western side of the mountain and takes you through rainforest, Shira Plateau, Barranco Valley, Barafu Camp, and the final moonlit climb to the roof of Africa. This full moon climb is special because the bright moon can make summit night feel more beautiful, dramatic, and unforgettable, with glowing glaciers, clearer mountain outlines, and a powerful sunrise after reaching the top. Our guides will lead you pole pole, support your safety, monitor your altitude condition, and keep the Hakuna Matata spirit alive throughout the journey, while the mountain crew prepares fresh food, hot drinks, and comfortable camp care after each trekking day.

Standing on the summit during a full moon climb is an unforgettable achievement, especially as the sunrise begins to appear after the moonlit ascent. A Full Moon Kilimanjaro climbing adventure is a trek planned so that your summit night happens close to the full moon. During this time, the moonlight can brighten the trail, glaciers, and mountain slopes, making the final climb to Uhuru Peak more scenic and memorable.
The Lemosho Route is a beautiful choice for a full moon climb because it offers scenic landscapes before summit night, including rainforest, Shira Plateau, Barranco Valley, and alpine desert. It gives climbers a peaceful start and a dramatic final approach to the summit.
Yes, the 6-day Full Moon Lemosho Route is challenging because it includes long trekking days, high altitude, and a cold midnight summit climb. However, our guides will lead you pole pole, check your condition, and support you throughout the journey.
Summit night feels special because the moonlight can create a beautiful glow on the trail, glaciers, and upper slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Many climbers find the full moon atmosphere more inspiring and easier to remember than a normal dark summit night.
Yes, you still need a headlamp even during a full moon climb. The moonlight can help visibility, but weather can change quickly, clouds may cover the moon, and some sections still require personal lighting for safety.
Yes, this climb is great for travelers who enjoy photography. You can capture rainforest scenery, Shira Plateau views, Barranco landscapes, and special summit moments under the moonlight and sunrise. A good camera or phone with extra batteries is recommended.
Summit night is very cold, often below freezing. You should prepare with warm layers, thermal clothing, gloves, a warm hat, windproof jacket, and proper trekking gear. Our guides will brief you at Barafu Camp before the final climb.
Beginners can join if they are physically fit and well prepared, but the 6-day Lemosho Route is faster than longer routes. Good training, strong mindset, and proper gear are important because altitude and summit night can be demanding.
If clouds cover the moon, the climb will still continue safely with headlamps and guide support. Weather on Mount Kilimanjaro can change at any time, so climbers should enjoy the full moon plan while also being prepared for normal mountain conditions.
Yes, you can combine this 6-day Full Moon Lemosho Route climb with a Tanzania safari or Zanzibar beach holiday. After the summit, many travelers relax in Zanzibar or enjoy wildlife in Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, or Lake Manyara.
