The air is filled with the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves, and the ground is covered in a lush carpet of green. The trail is moderate, with a few steep inclines and declines. Our guides are patient and encourage us to take our time, reminding us to rest when we need to and drink plenty of water. As we approach Simba Camp, we are greeted by the sight of a beautiful campground nestled in a clearing. The tents are set up, and our guides are busy preparing dinner. The aroma of freshly cooked food fills the air, and we are all famished after our long trek. After a hot meal and a chance to rest, we gather around the campfire for a briefing about the next day's ascent.

But despite the difficulty of the trail, we are motivated by the stunning views of Kibo Volcano looming above us. We stop frequently to catch our breath and take in the breath-taking panorama of the surrounding peaks. As we approach second cave, we are greeted by a small group of porters and guides who are waiting to set up camp. We are shown to our tents, which are nestled in a small clearing, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the moorland. After a quick lunch, we take a well-deserved rest and enjoy the peace and quiet of the high altitude wilderness.

As we make our way down the mountain, we are filled with a sense of accomplishment and pride. We have trekked the highest peak in Africa, and we have done it together.
