The journey starts at Machame Gate and proceeds to Machame Camp.After driving to Machame village, the climb commences at the end of the paved road. The route takes you through shambas (cultivated fields) and then into a forest until reaching the Machame camp at an elevation of 3010m, which takes approximately 6 hours to complete. The total distance covered is 11km. This leg of the climb passes through the Montane Forest habitat. Lunch and dinner are provided

On day two, we continue our ascent along a steep ridge, traversing rock ridges and passing through beautiful heather-filled landscapes. The route then turns westward, leading us into a stunning river gorge, finally arriving at Shira Hut located at 3,845 meters (12,600 feet) above sea level. The journey takes approximately five hours, covering a distance of 5 kilometers (3 miles) through the moorland habitat. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day

From Shira Cave, continue east towards Kibo and pass the junction. Proceed towards the Lava Tower and then descend to Barranco Hut at 3960m (4 hours). The elevation increases from 3850m to 4000m, covering a distance of 10km in approximately 5-6 hours. This leg of the climb takes you through a semi-desert habitat. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Begin at Barranco Camp (3960m) and ascend a short scramble to reach the top of the Great Barranco. Traverse scree and ridges towards the Karanga Valley (4000m, 3 hours) while admiring the icefalls of Heim, Kersten, and Decken Glaciers. After leaving the Karanga Valley, climb up a ridge to reach Barafu Hut at 4640m (3 hours). This location is sparsely vegetated and offers panoramic views. The elevation climbs from 4000m to 4700m, covering a distance of 9km in 6-8 hours through an alpine desert habitat. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

You'll start early from Barafu Camp and make your way to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The ascent to the rim of the Kibo Crater takes about 4 hours, with the last section potentially being snow-covered. You might find an ice-axe or ski stick helpful for balance. From the rim, it's another hour to Uhuru Peak, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Meru and Mawenzi. Afterward, descend to Barafu Hut for rest and lunch before continuing to Mweka camp in the giant heather zone on the forest edge. The elevation ranges from 4700m to 5895m and then descends to 3090m. The total distance covered is approximately 5km uphill and 13km downhill. The climbing time is estimated to be 5-7 hours for the ascent and 5-6 hours for the descent. The habitat consists of stone scree and an ice-capped summit. Meals provided include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Once you reach the gate you will get summit certificate, transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. The elevation drops from 3090m to 1680m, covering a distance of 10km/6mi.
