You'll wake up early to begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. You'll start the climb at Kibo hut, where you'll have a hot drink and snack to fuel you for the challenging climb ahead. As you reach Gilman's Point after 5-6 hours, you'll take a short rest to admire the stunning sunrise over Mawenzi peak. From Gilman's Point, you'll continue your ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. The climb is steep and challenging, but the sense of achievement of summit is worth every step. After spending a few minutes at the summit to take in the views and celebrate your achievement, you'll begin the descent to Kibo hut. The descent is faster than the ascent, but it's still a challenging climb, especially on tired legs.
