    Begin the climb around midnight with a light snack. Ascend the screes of Kibo with the help of torchlight for 5 to 7 hours. Reach Stella Point, the crater rim, at 5,730 m. Another 1 to 2-hour climb along the crater ridge takes you to Uhuru Peak, the "Roof of Africa." Witness the stunning 360° view as the sun rises. Descend back to Barafu Camp, enjoy a warm meal, rest, and then continue to Mweka Camp.
