Short acclimatization walk in the afternoon, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Ascend in darkness, with short breaks, facing wind and cold weather. Reach Stella Point (18,900 ft/5,730m) at sunrise. Another hour to Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. Spend a short time on the summit, then descend to Barafu Camp in about 3 hours. Rest briefly and continue to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight.
