Begin your ascent through the rainforest, expecting rain, mud, and fog. Look out for wildlife like Colobus monkeys. After 3-4 hours, reach Mandara Hut (2700m) with sleeping bunks, solar lighting, and flush toilets. The porters will provide boiled water and the chef will prepare snacks and dinner. Prepare for freezing temperatures at night.
