    o Climbing time: 3-4 hours o Distance: Approximately 12 kilometers o Habitat: Montane forest After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be driven to Marangu Gate (1980m) where you'll register with Tanzania National Park. Begin your ascent through the rainforest, expecting rain, mud, and fog. Look out for wildlife like Colobus monkeys. After 3-4 hours, reach Mandara Hut (2700m) with sleeping bunks, solar lighting, and flush toilets. The porters will provide boiled water and the chef will prepare snacks and dinner. Prepare for freezing temperatures at night.

    o Climbing time: 8 hours to Uhuru and 6 hours to Horombo o Distance: Approximately 6 kilometers ascent and 21 kilometers descent o Habitat: Stone scree and ice-capped summit. Wake up around 23:30 for tea and biscuits. Begin summit attempt, reaching Gillman's Point (5681m) and then Uhuru Peak (5895m) after a snowy trail. Enjoy a short time on the summit, take photos, an have tea. Descend to Kibo Hut for lunch, and then continue to Horombo Hut for dinner and rest.
