    On the second day, we continue our trek from Bivouac Camp towards Barranco Camp, covering another 11km/7mi of distance. The hike, lasting 5-6 hours, takes us from 1660m/5450ft to 2850m/9350ft. During this part of the journey, we'll traverse a rocky ridge, providing us with glimpses of the majestic Kilimanjaro in the distance. The sight is awe-inspiring and serves as a reminder of the incredible challenge that awaits us. Upon reaching Barranco Camp, we'll be met with an astounding view of the imposing Great Barranco Wall and Breach. As the day comes to an end, we'll be treated to a captivating sunset view, offering a moment of relaxation and reflection before we take on the Barranco Wall the next day.

    After a hearty breakfast at Barranco Camp, we embark on a steep ascent up the Barranco Wall. This demanding part of the journey takes us from an elevation of 4000m/13,000ft to 4050m/13,250ft, covering a distance of 5km/3mi. The hike through the Alpine Desert habitat can be challenging but highly rewarding, with spectacular views accompanying us along the way. After approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, we'll reach Karanga Valley, where the Mweka Trail intersects with our route. Karanga Camp, our destination for the day, offers a well-deserved rest and a chance to acclimatize further to the increasing altitude

    As our ascent continues, we trek from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp on the fourth day. The journey covers a distance of 4km/2mi and involves gaining elevation from 4050m/13,250ft to 4700m/15,350ft. This part of the hike typically takes around 3-4 hours as we navigate through the Alpine Desert habitat once again. Barafu Camp becomes our base for the final summit push. Here, we'll take some time to rest, enjoy a nourishing dinner, and make necessary preparations for the challenging summit day that lies ahead

    Day 5: BARAFU CAMP TO SUMMIT, DOWN TO MWEKA CAMP

    On the fifth day, we set out for the summit, and to ensure a successful ascent, we begin our journey early, usually around midnight to 2 am. This early start allows us to tackle the tough challenges presented by the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. During the ascent, we'll take a short break at Stella Point to witness the breathtaking beauty of a sunrise (weather permitting). As we continue, we must be prepared for extreme temperature changes, given the high altitudes we'll be reaching. Upon reaching the summit, the feeling of accomplishment and the stunning panoramic views will make the entire journey worthwhile. After soaking in the moment, we begin our descent to Mweka Camp, passing through Barafu Camp for lunch. In the late afternoon, we may encounter mist or rain at Mweka Camp, situated at a lower elevation

    On the final day of our remarkable expedition, we descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate. This part of the journey may encounter wet and muddy conditions, especially at the lower elevations. We should dress comfortably in shorts and t-shirts, but keeping rain gear and warmer clothing accessible is essential to adapt to the changing weather conditions. At Mweka Gate, we'll receive our well-earned summit certificates as a testament to our accomplishment. Finally, transportation will be provided to take us back to our Arusha/Moshi hotel, where we can rest and reflect on the unforgettable experience of conquering the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro
