This is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the hike. We'll start the ascent early in the morning, aiming to reach Stella Point (5735m/18815ft) on the crater rim in time for sunrise. The hike to Stella Point is physically demanding, but the breathtaking sunrise over the African plains makes it all worthwhile. From Stella Point, we'll continue to Uhuru Peak (5895m/19,340ft), the highest point on Kilimanjaro. Standing at the summit is an awe-inspiring and emotional experience that you'll cherish forever. After spending some time at the summit, we'll begin our descent back to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved rest and nourishment. Afterward, we'll continue descending to the upper forest, where dinner and water will be provided at Mweka Camp. The distance covered today will be approximately 13km/8 miles.
