After a one-hour drive from Moshi, you will reach the Machame route gate. Complete Park formalities and meet your porters. Start your climb through lush forests, encountering some muddy and wet sections. Arrive at Machame Camp (3100m) for camping. Climbing time is 4-6 hours, covering a distance of 9 km with an altitude gain of 1210m. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the camp.

Today's climb takes you across high moorland, providing a change in the landscape. You'll travel on the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing beneath the Lava Tower and the Western Breach's final section. Your destination is Barranco Camp (3900 m), where you'll spend the night. Following the mountaineering principle of 'walk high, sleep low,' you've aided your body's acclimatization to avoid altitude sickness.

Begin the day by descending into the Great Barranco, a vast ravine. Then, climb up the BarrancoWall, a rocky section that separates you from Kibo's southeastern slopes. While it's not a technical climb, you'll need to navigate rocks. Passing underneath the Heim and Kersten glaciers, you'll head towards the Karanga Valley (4000 m) for lunch. Afterward, traverse arid land towards Barafu Camp (4600 m). You'll have the entire afternoon to rest before the final ascent towards the summit

Climbing Time: 6-8 hours, Distance: 7 km, Altitude Gain: 1296 m.
