    We begin our trek at the Rongai Gate, where we are greeted by the beautiful scenery of pine forests and farmland. Our first stop is the Simba Camp, located at the edge of the moorland zone at 2625m. As we take in the breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape, we may catch a glimpse of the majestic Colobus monkeys or even the elusive elephant or buffalo.

    Brings us to the Kikelewa Camp, located at 3679m. As we trek through the lush forests and meadows, we are surrounded by the sounds of chirping birds and babbling streams. We take a break at First Caves, a stunning spot with towering cliffs and crystal-clear pools, where we enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, we continue our trek towards Kikelewa Camp, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding peaks. As we settle in for the night, we reflect on the incredible journey we have embarked on and the incredible sights we have seen.

    Brings us to the Mawenzi Tarn Camp, located at 4303m. As we ascend through the grassy slopes, we are rewarded with breath-taking views of the surrounding wilderness. We take a short but steep trek to reach the camp, which is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mawenzi. We spend the afternoon acclimatizing and exploring the area, taking in the stunning beauty of the surrounding landscape. As we prepare for our final ascent to the summit, we feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in what we have accomplished so far. We are excited for the challenges that lie ahead, but we are confident that with determination and teamwork, we will reach the summit and achieve our goal

    Day 4: FROM MAWENZI TARN CAMP (4303M) – KIBO HUT (4730M)

    As we begin our fourth day of the trek, we awaken to the breath-taking view of Mawenzi Tarn Camp, nestled at the base of the towering Mawenzi peak. We take a leisurely breakfast, allowing our bodies to rest and recuperate after the previous day's ascent. Today, we start on the final leg of our journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. We begin our ascent by Trekking westward, following the east side of Kibo, and crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. The trail is steep and rocky, but the stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape make it all worth it. After several hours of trek, we reach Kibo Hut, our overnight stop at an altitude of 4730 meters. The hut is situated at the base of the Kibo Crater and offers breath-taking views of the surrounding peaks. We take some time to rest and acclimate to the high altitude before dinner, which is served in the cozy dining area of the hut.

    Day 5: KIBO HUT (4730M) – UHURU PEAK (5895M) – HOROMBO HUT (3705M)

    As we rise around 23:20, a stunning moonlit sky greets us, casting an ethereal glow over the landscape. After tea and biscuits, we ascend Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail leads to Hans Meyer Cave at 5150m. Next, Gillman's Point at 5681m offers breath-taking views. The final stretch to Uhuru Peak at 5895m, Africa's highest point, is the pinnacle of our trek. We savor the views, take photos, and descend to Kibo Hut, fuelled by adrenaline and accomplishment. At Horombo Hut, fatigue sets in, but the thought of a warm meal and soft bed propels us. We reach Horombo Hut exhausted but elated, having achieved something extraordinary. Over dinner, we share summit stories and celebrate our success.

    Day 6: HOROMBO HUT (3705M) – MARANGU GATE (1860M)

    We start our day with a hearty breakfast, taking in the breath-taking views of the surrounding peaks. As we pack up our belongings, we can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment for having reached such a high point on our journey. The descent from Horombo Hut is a steady and gradual descent, taking us through lush forests and across several streams. We take our time, taking in the sights and sounds of the natural world around us. We stop periodically to take photos and to rest, making sure to stay hydrated and fuelled for the remainder of the trek. As we approach Marangu Gate, we can feel the excitement building. We have completed over half of our journey and we are one step closer to reaching the summit. We arrive at the gate and sign our names in the register, taking a moment to reflect on our achievement. We are then driven back to Moshi.
