Today's trek takes us to Kibo Camp, which is located just beneath the summit of Kilimanjaro. The journey is a challenging one, but the rewards are well worth it. The trail is steep and rocky, but the views more than make up for it. We make our way over the stunning lunar environment, our footsteps crunching in the gravel as we go. After lunch, we have some time to rest and recharge before the final summit push tomorrow. Some are resting, while others are going over the final details of their plan. We take the time to review our own plans, making sure that we are ready for the challenge ahead.

    Day 6: Horombo Hut descend To Marangu Gate

    We are filled with a sense of accomplishment and awe at what we have accomplished. The air is cooler and fresher than before, and the trail is lined with lush vegetation and flowing streams. We are grateful for the beauty that surrounds us and take a moment to appreciate the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. As we approach the Marangu Gate, we are greeted by our porters who are eager to help us with our bags. We take a moment to say goodbye to them, expressing our gratitude for their hard work and dedication. They smile and wave goodbye, and we know that they will always hold a special place in our hearts. We reach the Marangu Park Gate and are greeted by park rangers who congratulate us on our successful trek. We show them our summit certificates and they take our details for record keeping. We are then driven back to our accommodation in Moshi, where we are welcomed with open arms by our loved ones.
