    Early in the morning, you will set out on the ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, one of the world's highest freestanding mountains. You will begin at Kibo Hut, which sits at an elevation of 4,700 meters (15,420 feet). From there, you will ascend through steep and heavy scree or snow to Gilman's Point, which is located on the crater rim at an elevation of 5,685 meters (18,700 feet). This is the highest point of the climb and offers breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape. After a short rest and photo opportunity, you will continue your journey to the summit of Kilimanjaro, reaching the peak of Uhuru Peak at an elevation of 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). This is the highest point in Africa and a major accomplishment for anyone who reaches it. From the summit, you will begin your descent back down to Kibo Hut. Along the way, you will stop for lunch and a rest at Kibo before continuing on to the Horombo encampment for overnight.

    Day 6: Horombo Hut to trail head, drive to Moshi

    After breakfast, you will begin your descent from Horombo Hut back down to the National Park gate at Marangu. The trail takes you through moorland and lush forest, providing a change of scenery from the high altitude of the previous day. As you make your way down, you will be surrounded by a variety of plant and animal life, including elephants, buffalo, and colobus monkeys. The descent takes you through a variety of habitats, from high altitude moorland to lush forest, providing a unique and diverse experience. After several hours you will reach at marangu gate you will receive your summit certificate then depature.
