Experience the ultimate Kilimanjaro trekking challenge on the 6 day Rongai route Summit Africa highest peak with guided expertise
The Rongai route is the one of route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the north. Though gaining popularity amongst trekkers, rongai has low traffic. The minimum number of days required is 6 days. Although the scenery is not as varied as the western routes, Rongai makes up for this by passing through true wilderness areas for days before joining the Marangu route at Kibo camp. Rongai is a moderately difficult route and is highly recommended for those with less backpacking experience.
For your first day, you will drive from your Hotel to rongai gate for registration permit then start your 6 days trekking tour up to Simba Camp. This will take you approximately 2 hours, including a stop to get permits at rongai gate. In the late afternoon or early evening. The porters and chef, who move very fast up the mountain, will reach camp before you and set up your tents, boil drinking water, and prepare snacks for your arrival. After washing up, a hot dinner will be served. For overnight, mountain temperatures may drop to freezing so be prepared

As we leave Mawenzi Tarn Camp behind, we will continue our ascent towards the East and traverse the alpine desert terrain. The journey will take us approximately 4-5 hours and will be filled with breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape. As we approach bedtime, it's important to remember to get a good night's rest so that you are well-rested and ready to tackle the challenge of summiting Kilimanjaro. Dinner will be served early so that you can have a good meal and get some rest before the big day. Let's make the most of this incredible opportunity and reach the summit of Kilimanjaro together!

Today marks our final day of trekking and we will be conquering the highest peak in Africa, Uhuru Peak! We will begin our ascent early in the morning, with a summit attempt scheduled for around 23:30. The trail is rocky up to Hans Meyer Cave (5150m), and the route continues to be steep, rocky, and high altitude as we make our way to Gillman’s point (5681m). The crater rim is where we will reach this section, and it is an impressive achievement as the trail is snow-covered. We will spend some time on the summit taking photographs, drinking tea, and enjoying the breath-taking views before beginning the descent to Barafu. The trek down to Kibo Hut takes about 3 hours, and we will rest and enjoy a hot lunch at the hut. After lunch, we will continue our descent to Horombo Hut (3720m), where we will have dinner and spend the night.

The National Park requires all trekrs to sign their names to receive certificates, and trekrs who reached Gillman’s Point (5681m) receive green certificates, and those who reached Uhuru Peak (5895m) receive gold certificates. This journey has been an incredible experience, and I want to thank each and every one of you for embarking on this adventure with me. We have overcome many challenges and have pushed ourselves to our limits, but we have done it together. We have formed a bond that will last a lifetime, and I am proud of each and every one of you
