This 6 days trekking adventure takes you through diverse landscapes, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts, ultimately culminating at the iconic Uhuru Peak. It is a challenging yet rewarding trekking journey that offers breathtaking vistas and an unforgettable experience

Tour Highlights:

Day 1 : Start at Machame Gate and trek to Machame Camp.

Day 2 : Trek from Machame Camp to Shira Camp.

Day 3 : : Trek from Shira Camp to Lava Tower, then continue to Barranco Cam

Day 4 : Trek from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp, and then to Barafu Camp.

Day 5 : Trek to Summit Day!

Day 6 : Descend to Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate.

Day 1: Start at Machame Gate and trek to Machame Camp.

The trail passes through the Machame village and involves muddy and slippery sections. Overnight stay at Machame Camp.

Day 2: Trek from Machame Camp to Shira Camp.

The route goes through a small valley and a rocky ridge covered with heather. Proceed to the Shira Campsite for overnight stay.

Day 3: : Trek from Shira Camp to Lava Tower, then continue to Barranco Cam

The trail leads to the Lava Tower, also known as the Shark's Tooth, and then descends to the Barranco Hut for dinner and overnight stay. This day serves as an acclimatization day.

Day 4: Trek from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp, and then to Barafu Camp.

Pass through the Barranco Wall and continue to the Karanga Valley Campsite. Reach Barafu Hut, completing the South Circuit. Enjoy views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peak.

Day 5: Trek to Summit Day!

Start early from Barafu Camp, trek to the summit via Stella Point. Proceed northwest through scree to reach Stella Point on the Crater Rim. Rest and enjoy the sunrise before continuing to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro. Descend to Mweka Hut Campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Descend to Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate.

Descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Park Gate. The trail becomes wet and muddy at lower elevations. Arrive at Mweka Village and transfer to Moshi or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return journey.
