6 Days Luxury Christmas Wildlife Safari Through Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli

Our driver-guide will collect you from Nairobi and begin the approximately 260–280-kilometre Christmas journey to the Maasai Mara. The transfer normally takes five to six hours, although festive traffic and road conditions may affect timing. After checking in and enjoying lunch, you will begin an afternoon game drive for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and antelopes before returning for dinner and any seasonal hospitality offered by your lodge.

After breakfast, you will explore approximately 60–100 kilometres over seven to nine hours. Possible attractions include lion prides, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos and birds. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the reserve before afternoon wildlife viewing continues. You will return to the lodge for a festive meal or Christmas programme provided by the property.

After breakfast and check-out, you will travel approximately 230–250 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over four and a half to six hours. The route passes farms, highland landscapes and Rift Valley communities, with meal and comfort stops arranged. After arrival, you will check in at your luxury lodge and enjoy a relaxed festive evening.

Your morning includes a three-to-four-hour Lake Nakuru drive covering approximately 25–50 kilometres. Possible attractions include rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, baboons and lake birds. After an early lunch, you will begin the approximately 350–400-kilometre journey to Amboseli over seven to eight hours. Festive-season comfort and refreshment stops will be arranged before arrival at your lodge.

After breakfast, you will explore approximately 50–90 kilometres of Amboseli over seven to nine hours. Attractions may include large elephant families, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, lions and wetland birds. Mount Kilimanjaro may appear when visibility is clear. A picnic lunch or lodge-based break will be included before the afternoon drive continues. You will return for a final festive dinner or seasonal lodge programme.
