Our friendly driver-guide will collect your family from Nairobi, assist with luggage and begin the approximately 260–280-kilometre journey to the Maasai Mara. The transfer normally takes five to six hours, with suitable washroom, stretching and refreshment stops arranged for children and older family members. The route passes Rift Valley scenery, highland farms and Maasai countryside. After checking in and enjoying lunch, you will begin an afternoon wildlife drive featuring possible elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and lions. The guide will introduce younger travellers to basic animal identification through clear and entertaining explanations.

Full-Day Maasai Mara Family Discovery

After breakfast, the family will leave with a picnic lunch and explore approximately 50–90 kilometres over seven to eight hours. Attractions may include lion prides, elephant families, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras and hippos. Children can use a wildlife checklist, identify tracks and learn about animal communication, food chains and family behaviour. The private vehicle allows additional breaks or an earlier return when younger travellers become tired.

After breakfast and check-out, your family will travel approximately 230–250 kilometres to Lake Nakuru over four and a half to six hours. The journey passes farms, towns and changing Rift Valley scenery, with suitable meal, washroom and stretching stops included. After arrival, you will check in at your family-friendly luxury lodge, enjoy lunch or refreshments and spend the afternoon relaxing. Children can review their wildlife checklist and prepare for the following morning’s rhino experience.

Lake Nakuru Family Safari – Transfer to Amboseli

The day begins with a three-to-four-hour Lake Nakuru game drive covering approximately 25–45 kilometres. Children may identify white or black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, zebras and waterbirds while learning how the lake ecosystem differs from the Mara grasslands. After an early lunch, you will travel approximately 350–400 kilometres to Amboseli over seven to eight hours. Regular comfort and stretching stops will be arranged before arrival at your family-friendly lodge for dinner.
