Celebrate love on a 6-day premium Kenya honeymoon safari through Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara with private guiding and elegant stays.
Celebrate your honeymoon, anniversary or private couple’s journey on this six-day romantic Wild Kenya escape from Nairobi. Samburu introduces the experience with semi-arid beauty, riverine wildlife and two unhurried nights at a premium lodge or tented camp. Lake Nakuru adds a peaceful Rift Valley setting and the opportunity to explore recognised rhino habitat before the safari continues to the Maasai Mara. Two Mara nights provide an arrival evening and a complete wildlife day on classic savannah. Travel in a private 4×4 vehicle gives the couple personal space, flexible comfort stops and time to enjoy natural encounters without the pressure of a shared group. Romantic room decoration, a private dinner, sundowner, spa treatment or celebratory cake must be requested and confirmed by the chosen property; they are not automatically promised. Wildlife, clear sunsets and migration activity remain natural and unpredictable.
A Private Journey North
Your dedicated driver-guide will meet you at JKIA, Wilson Airport or an agreed Nairobi hotel between approximately 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Settle into the private 4×4 for the 310–330 km road journey through the central highlands, Nanyuki and Isiolo. Allow 5½–6½ hours of driving plus a refreshment stop and relaxed comfort breaks. Arrive in the Samburu area around 1:00–2:00 p.m. for lunch, check-in and time together in your premium room or tent.
Sunset in the North
Leave at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a 2½–3-hour game drive through dry plains, acacia scrub and the Ewaso Ng’iro river corridor. Your guide will look for wildlife while allowing quiet stops and couple photographs in safe, permitted locations. Return near 6:30 p.m. for dinner. Any room decoration, private table or celebratory arrangement will be provided only when confirmed in advance.
Morning beside the River
Start at approximately 6:15 a.m. with tea or coffee before a 2½–3-hour drive. Cooler air and gentle light create a memorable setting as the guide searches riverbanks and open country for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, birds and predators. Samburu’s northern species may appear, but no individual encounter can be guaranteed.
Time to Relax Together
Return at about 9:15 a.m. for breakfast. Enjoy the lodge, rest in your room or use confirmed facilities before lunch near 1:00 p.m. A spa treatment, private lunch or another premium experience requires advance reservation and may cost extra.
A Samburu Sunset
Depart again around 3:30 p.m. and explore a different sector until approximately 6:30 p.m. The guide can pause at a permitted viewpoint for photographs when conditions allow. Return for dinner and a quiet evening. A sundowner or private dinner is arranged only where the lodge, weather and park rules permit.
One Last Samburu Drive
Leave at approximately 6:15 a.m. for a final two-hour search through an area selected from recent wildlife movement. Return for breakfast and check out around 9:00 a.m. Your guide will assist with luggage and confirm the lunch stop before beginning the southbound transfer.
From Dry Country to the Lake
Travel 300–340 km toward the Lake Nakuru area, allowing 5½–7 hours excluding lunch and comfort stops. Watch the landscape change from semi-arid Samburu to cultivated highlands and the Great Rift Valley. Reach the premium Nakuru property in the late afternoon, check in and rest after the road journey. Dinner is served at the lodge. A private table, wine selection or room arrangement must be included in the confirmed quotation, since honeymoon services differ among properties.
A Gentle Nakuru Morning
After breakfast around 5:45–6:00 a.m., check out and begin a 2½–3-hour game drive at approximately 6:30 a.m. Explore forest, grassland and accessible lakeshore while looking for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes and birds. Flamingo numbers change with lake conditions, and every wildlife sighting remains natural rather than guaranteed.
Toward the Maasai Mara
Depart the Nakuru area around 9:30–10:00 a.m. for the 235–270 km journey through the Rift Valley and Narok. Driving takes about 5–6½ hours plus lunch and comfort stops. Arrive at your premium Mara camp in the late afternoon or early evening and enjoy any wildlife seen on the permitted route to the property. Settle into your suite or tent before dinner. If requested early, the lodge may confirm a honeymoon welcome, but the exact arrangement depends on the chosen property.
Sunrise Adventure
Leave at approximately 6:15 a.m. with breakfast boxes or after an early meal. Morning light spreads across open plains as your guide selects a route based on recent animal movement. The private vehicle allows quiet observation and personal pacing while searching for elephants, giraffes, plains game, big cats and birds without promising a sighting.
Picnic on the Plains
Continue for 8–10 hours, stopping for a picnic lunch around 12:30–1:00 p.m. at an authorised site. The couple can enjoy the landscape without repeatedly returning to camp. During migration months, the Mara River may be considered, but crossings are spontaneous and cannot be scheduled.
An Evening Together
Return around 6:00–6:30 p.m. after the softer afternoon light. Freshen up for dinner and your final safari evening. A private dinner, cake or special table is available only when pre-arranged and confirmed.
Final Breakfast in the Mara
Wake to the sounds of the bush and enjoy breakfast at approximately 6:30 a.m. Check out by 7:30–8:00 a.m. Wildlife may be encountered while driving from an inside-reserve camp toward the gate, but the departure is not advertised as a full game drive. Keep phones or cameras ready for safe final photographs.
Homeward Journey
Travel 250–280 km through Narok and the Great Rift Valley to Nairobi, allowing 5–6½ hours plus lunch and comfort stops. Use the journey to reflect on shared experiences while your guide manages the route and traffic. Expected arrival is between 2:30 and 5:00 p.m. Drop-off can be arranged at JKIA, Wilson Airport or an agreed Nairobi hotel or residence. Couples flying internationally should choose a departure after 8:00 p.m. or book a Nairobi night when timing is tight.

The Booking Form
Celebrate love on a 6-day premium Kenya honeymoon safari through Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara with private guiding and elegant stays.
N.B: After you send your booking we will get back to you with in 24 hours.
1. What makes this a premium honeymoon safari?
The package combines a private vehicle, a dedicated guide, carefully selected premium accommodation and a route planned for both wildlife and couple time. Premium properties typically provide comfortable rooms or tents, private bathrooms, quality meals and attentive service. Exact room category, drinks, transfers and romantic extras must be written into the final quotation because facilities differ among lodges.
2. Are honeymoon decorations and private dinners guaranteed?
Only when requested early and confirmed by the selected lodge. Some properties offer complimentary decoration, while others charge for flowers, cake, a special table, a bush meal or private dining. Weather, staffing and park rules may affect outdoor arrangements. The operator should state exactly what is confirmed so the couple does not arrive expecting an experience that was never booked.
3. Is the safari completely private?
The road transfers and scheduled game drives are private to the booked couple when stated in the quotation. Lodge restaurants, lounges, pools and public activities may still be shared with other guests. Balloon flights, conservancy walks or scheduled lodge activities can also operate in groups unless a private version is purchased. Ask for the exact privacy level of every optional experience.
4. Can we choose a particular honeymoon suite?
Yes, subject to availability and price. Properties may use terms such as honeymoon tent, suite, villa or superior room, but the facilities behind those labels vary. Request photographs, bedding details, bathroom style, view, privacy information and whether the unit is accessible by stairs or long paths. The chosen room category should appear by name in the confirmed booking.
5. Is a hot-air balloon flight included in the Maasai Mara?
No balloon flight is assumed in this package. It can be requested at additional cost, subject to availability, weather, operational conditions and passenger restrictions. Balloon departures are very early and can change the Day 5 schedule. Travellers should disclose pregnancy, mobility limitations or relevant health conditions directly to the licensed operator before payment.
6. Can the trip celebrate an anniversary instead of a honeymoon?
Certainly. The same private itinerary suits anniversaries, engagements, birthdays or a couple’s holiday. Tell the operator the occasion, preferred wording and any dietary requirements. Cakes, flowers, sparkling wine or room decoration should be confirmed in writing. Never assume the lodge will know about the celebration merely because it appears in an informal message.
7. How tiring are the transfer days for a couple?
Day 1, Day 3, Day 4 and Day 6 involve substantial road travel. A private vehicle allows comfort stops and reasonable flexibility, but the distances cannot be removed without changing to flights or adding nights. Pack water, light clothing layers and any motion-sickness remedy recommended by your clinician. The itinerary uses premium accommodation to provide good rest after each journey.
8. Are wildlife sightings or romantic sunsets promised?
No. Wildlife moves freely, and weather determines sunset colour and visibility. The guide improves viewing opportunities through experience, tracks and recent information, but cannot control animals or clouds. The value of the safari comes from the complete natural experience, including landscapes, behaviour, birds, quiet moments and the changing character of Samburu, Nakuru and the Mara.
9. Can dietary needs be handled?
Most premium properties can support common dietary requirements when notified well before arrival. Share allergies, intolerances, religious needs and preferences during booking, not at the last minute. Kitchens in remote areas have limited access to specialised products, and cross-contamination cannot be ruled out unless the lodge explicitly confirms its procedure. Carry essential prescribed medication and emergency snacks where appropriate.
10. What flight time is safest after returning to Nairobi?
The expected Day 6 arrival is between 2:30 and 5:00 p.m., but rain, roadworks and Nairobi traffic may cause delays. An international departure after 8:00 p.m. provides a more practical margin. For an earlier or high-value connection, reserve a Nairobi night or redesign the final day. The operator should receive complete flight details before confirming drop-off arrangements.
