Travel 310–330 km via the central highlands, Nanyuki and Isiolo, allowing 5½–6½ hours plus refreshments. Your guide handles navigation and luggage while you enjoy the changing landscape. Reach Samburu around 1:00–2:00 p.m. for lunch and a secure check-in.

First Drive at Your Pace

After resting, depart at about 3:30 p.m. for a 2½–3-hour private drive. Focus on wildlife, birds, landscapes or photography according to your interests without needing to match another guest’s priorities. The Ewaso Ng’iro corridor may attract elephants and other animals, but sightings cannot be guaranteed. Return before dark for dinner; lodge staff and your guide will confirm the next morning’s meeting point.

Private Morning Search

Leave around 6:15 a.m. after tea or coffee. Your guide may explore riverine woodland, open plains and acacia country for Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and other wildlife. Because the vehicle is private, you can spend longer with a subject or move on when ready, always within reserve etiquette.

A Comfortable Independent Pause

Return at approximately 9:15 a.m. for breakfast and a relaxed late morning. Lunch is normally served near 1:00 p.m. Solo dining can be arranged at a regular table, shared table or quieter setting according to property options and your preference.

Your Afternoon Focus

Begin a second 2½–3-hour drive around 3:30 p.m. The route can prioritise photography, birding or a landscape sector not visited earlier. Return near 6:30 p.m. for dinner and a clear briefing about the transfer to Nakuru

One Last Northern Drive

Start at approximately 6:15 a.m. with a final 1½–2-hour Samburu drive. Your private guide remains with you throughout, so plans, luggage and timing are communicated directly. Return for breakfast, check the room carefully and depart near 9:00 a.m. after the lodge confirms that no belongings have been left behind.

Guided Journey to Nakuru

Travel 300–340 km through Isiolo and the central highlands to the Lake Nakuru area, normally 5½–7 hours plus lunch and comfort stops. You will not need to navigate unfamiliar roads or arrange transport independently. Arrival is expected in the late afternoon or early evening. Your guide assists with check-in, confirms meal arrangements and provides the following morning’s departure time. The evening is for dinner, rest and private communication with family or friends where network coverage allows.

Nakuru at Your Pace

After breakfast around 5:45–6:00 a.m., check out and begin a 2½–3-hour park drive at approximately 6:30 a.m. Explore accessible lakeshore, forest and grassland habitat for rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes and birds without being tied to another traveller’s checklist. Wildlife and flamingo numbers vary naturally.

Supported Journey to the Mara

Depart the park around 9:30–10:00 a.m. for the 235–270 km road journey via Narok. Allow 5–6½ hours plus lunch and comfort stops. Your guide will keep you informed about road conditions, arrival estimates and gate procedures. Reach the premium Mara property in the late afternoon or early evening and complete check-in before dinner. A late extra game drive is not forced. Lodge security procedures and the meeting point for Day 5 will be explained clearly.

Choose the Day’s Focus

Leave at approximately 6:15 a.m. with a packed breakfast, or eat before departure when preferred. Discuss whether your priority is predators, plains wildlife, birds, behaviour, landscapes or photography. The guide chooses the safest productive route according to current conditions, and no specific sighting is promised.

Private Savannah Time

Spend about 8–10 hours in the reserve, pausing for a picnic lunch around 12:30–1:00 p.m. at an authorised site. A private vehicle means you can remain patient at a natural encounter without pressure from unrelated guests. Seasonal migration areas may be explored when sensible, but river crossings cannot be scheduled.

Secure Return to Camp

Continue through the afternoon and return around 6:00–6:30 p.m. Your guide confirms Day 6 timing before you enjoy dinner and your final premium night in the Mara.

Safe Completion in Nairobi

The 250–280 km transfer via Narok generally requires 5–6½ hours plus lunch and comfort stops. You can share your live progress with a trusted contact whenever network service is available. Arrival is expected from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., depending on traffic and the camp’s location. Drop-off is made directly at JKIA, Wilson Airport or the agreed hotel or address—never at an unconfirmed roadside point. Select a flight after 8:00 p.m. or add a Nairobi night for a safer connection.
