Meet your assigned driver-guide at JKIA, Wilson Airport or a confirmed Nairobi hotel at approximately 6:30–7:00 a.m. The operator will share the guide and vehicle details through an agreed communication channel before departure. Travel 250–280 km via the Great Rift Valley and Narok, normally taking 5–6½ hours plus safe comfort stops. Keep valuables with you and follow the guide’s advice at public stopping points. Your First Private Drive

At about 3:30 p.m., leave on a 2½–3-hour game drive planned around your interests, whether wildlife behaviour, photography or landscape interpretation. Your guide will maintain respectful viewing distances and realistic expectations. Return around 6:00–6:30 p.m. for dinner. Lodge staff can escort you after dark where required, especially at unfenced camps where wildlife may pass nearby.

Morning Choice

Depart around 6:15 a.m. with a packed breakfast, or request breakfast before leaving when the lodge can accommodate it. A solo private safari allows you to concentrate on preferred subjects without negotiating with unrelated passengers. The guide still controls safe vehicle positioning and all decisions must follow reserve rules.

Personalised Wildlife Route

Continue for about 8–10 hours, pausing for a picnic lunch at an authorised place around 12:30–1:00 p.m. The route may include open plains, marshes, woodland edges or river corridors depending on conditions. If migration herds are seasonally present, the guide may explore relevant areas, but crossings and predator activity remain unpredictable.

A Secure Evening in Camp

Return at approximately 6:00–6:30 p.m. for dinner and overnight. Ask lodge staff for an escort between public areas and your room after dark rather than walking alone, and contact the guide or operator if any practical concern arises.

Confirmed Departure

After breakfast at approximately 6:00–6:30 a.m., check out and leave the Mara near 7:00 a.m. Your guide will reconfirm the vehicle, destination and expected stops before beginning the 235–270 km journey to Lake Nakuru. Driving usually takes 5–6½ hours according to the camp, gate, weather and road conditions. Lunch or a refreshment break is arranged at a suitable staffed venue.

Secure Nakuru Check-In

Arrive during the mid-to-late afternoon and complete check-in at the confirmed premium property. Keep valuables in your day bag and communicate any room or dietary concern through the operator or lodge reception. A short park drive is possible only when the accommodation is inside Lake Nakuru National Park and entry time allows; otherwise, rest before dinner. Your guide will provide the next morning’s departure time and the plan for the long road journey to Amboseli.

Compact Conservation Drive

Breakfast begins at approximately 5:45–6:00 a.m. Check out and enter Lake Nakuru National Park around 6:30 a.m. for a 2½–3-hour private game drive through woodland, open grassland and accessible lakeshore. Your interests may guide the pace, whether you prefer rhino conservation, birds, photography or general wildlife, although no species or flamingo concentration can be guaranteed.

Guided Journey South

Depart around 9:30–10:00 a.m. for the 390–430 km route via Nairobi and Emali, allowing 7½–9 hours with lunch, washroom stops and traffic. Your guide remains responsible for the vehicle and will communicate delays rather than making unsafe attempts to recover time. Reach the premium Amboseli lodge in the early evening for check-in, dinner and a clear briefing about the full private safari planned for Day 5.

Your Preferred Morning Focus

Leave at approximately 6:15 a.m. after an early breakfast or with a packed meal. In a private vehicle, you may ask the guide to emphasise photography, birds, landscapes or general wildlife while still respecting park regulations and safe positioning. Explore wetland edges, open plains and acacia areas during the cooler morning. Elephants and other animals move freely, and Mount Kilimanjaro can remain concealed by cloud.

Time to Observe, Not Rush

Continue for roughly 8–9 hours with a picnic lunch at an authorised site, or return to the lodge for lunch when the chosen location and access plan make that practical. The longer day allows patient observation and a change of habitat after midday without pressure from a group schedule. Your guide will communicate route decisions and any weather-related change. Return around 5:30–6:00 p.m. for dinner, lodge escort where required and a second secure Amboseli overnight.

A Calm Final Morning

Have breakfast around 6:00–6:30 a.m. A short 1½–2-hour drive may be arranged before departure if park access, lodge location and your onward schedule allow. Use it for a final preferred subject or simply enjoy the landscape. Return for check-out by approximately 9:00 a.m., keeping documents and valuables in your personal day bag.

Verified Nairobi Drop-Off

Travel 220–240 km to Nairobi in about 4–5 hours, excluding major congestion. Your driver-guide will advise you of planned fuel, lunch or washroom stops and communicate any delay. Arrival is normally between 2:00 and 4:30 p.m. Complete the journey at JKIA, Wilson Airport or the Nairobi address recorded on your booking. Verify any unexpected driver or destination change directly with the safari company.
