Day 1: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut- First Hiking day

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Marangu Gate. Enjoy the scenic drive with views of the mountain. At the gate, you will meet your guides and porters. The hike starts through a beautiful rainforest, where you may spot colorful birds, colobus monkeys, and other wildlife. The hike takes about 4-5 hours and will lead you to Mandara Huts, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Continue Hike from, Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

After breakfast, the hike continues through the rainforest, gradually transitioning into alpine meadows with stunning views of Kilimanjaro peaks. The hike takes you through heather-filled landscapes, and you will gain approximately 1,000 meters in altitude. The walking time is around 5-7 hours, and you will reach Horombo Huts for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Acclimatization at Horombo Hut to Mawenzi Peak to Horombo Hut

This day is dedicated to acclimatization, an essential step to increase your chances of reaching the summit successfully. You have the option to take a walk to the base of Mawenzi Peak, the eastern summit of Kilimanjaro. This walk lasts around 4-5 hours and provides excellent acclimatization opportunities. Return to Horombo Huts for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut, 4th day of 6 days Kilimanjaro Hiking

The hike today offers more rocky and rough terrain as you leave behind the heath land and enter the lunar-like landscape of the Saddle, a tundra desert between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The trail takes you approximately 5-7 hours, passing by remarkable alpine plants. Reach Kibo Hut, situated at 4,705 meters, where you will prepare for the summit ascent. Rest early to begin the hike in the middle of the night.

Day 5: Summit Day - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Huts

Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the hike. Wake up before midnight to start the ascent under the cover of darkness. The hike is steep, and you will reach Hans Meyer's Cave and Johanna's Notch before sunrise. Witness the breathtaking sunrise from Gillman's Point at the crater rim. For those with enough energy, continue along the crater rim to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro. Descend to Horombo Huts for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6: Finally Hiking from, Horombo Huts to Marangu Gate and Return to Moshi

The pace quickens as you descend through alpine meadows, past Mandara Hut, and back into the rainforest. Reach Marangu Gate, where you will board a vehicle for the return journey to Moshi. Reflect on your achievement and celebrate your successful hike.
